Ian hovered around Shelby and played with her hair as she talked with her friend. Because of how close they were, he could hear all the words coming out of the phone by Shelby's ear.
"Ava! What happened to you? I have not seen you since that night fr-"
"You mean when Ian swept you off your feet in front of everyone?" Ava teased, adding,
"Figures! Why would you think of a friend when you have this irresistibly hot husband?" Shelby felt her cheeks heat up as Ian playfully roamed his hands. Ava's comments reminded her of that night, the enchanting evening she shared intimate moments with her husband beneath the open night sky.
Shelby moaned softly and then clasped her hands to her mouth.
'Oh no!' She was so embarrassed by the fact that Ava could have heard that. Coupled with that, she racked her head to find an excuse should Ava tease her. So caught up in this she was Shelby never heard Ava let out a similar moan like that as well.
