Currey hung his head, knowing that it was his negligence, so he did not mention anything about that. Back in their lands, he would have probably been executed for this gross incompetence.
He had been trained better than that but Currey just could not find anything! The person was overly careful in covering their tracks which only led to the fact that it may be a nonhuman as well. That was the only viable explanation!
