It was already almost evening when Albert pulled up at the Islanders' Academy.
Students were streaming out and driving various plush cars out. Albert parked his car and waited as a teacher-guided Ingrid and Gabriel out.
After Ian's visit that morning, these children had been spotlighted, and all teachers treated them like fragile glasses.
Gabriel skipped and swung his teacher's arms. The boy was clearly very happy with his first day at school.
Ingrid, as usual, was very reserved, but a small corner of her mouth was upturned, showing her satisfaction with something.
Albert thanked the teacher and then looked behind the two children.
"I think Sam already left!" Gabriel volunteered.
Albert nodded and opened the car door for them, but just then, Gabriel paused, as did Ingrid. They all looked up at the sky and towards the direction that Albert had come from.
