Clara placed the phone right by her side, leaving it on loudspeaker as she ranted and poured out all her emotions and grievances on her daughter. Her mood was a mess! The night before, she had tried everything, but her intelligent son had made her snap!
Deep inside, she regretted that action a bit, but she was getting desperate. James had been in the police station for almost a full twenty-four hours then, and she needed to do anything to get him out. At that time, she realized just how powerless she was. Without James, Clara was nothing! She knew full well that she could not afford to go back to a time like that again!
'How will I survive without him?' She lamented to herself. She was in this mood when her daughter's call came in.
