Linda, your assistant." Avery announced, the grin on her face became bigger after seeing Eddie trying to hide his blushing cheeks while uncomfortably shifting in his chair.
"I do? What do you mean?" He said, blinking his eyes, making an innocent face.
Eddie's surprise was evident as he responded, feigning innocence.
"Come on, Eddie. Don't play coy. I've known you for years. You're not just the boss anymore; you're the smitten boss." Avery pointed out the obvious shift in Eddie's demeanor.
"Is it that obvious?" He said, a hint of vulnerability creeping into his voice.
"To me, at least. And I'm pretty sure Linda knows too." Avery chuckled knowingly because a smart girl like Linda would never miss the big signs Eddie is giving off. It was frustrating to watch them from the sideline.
