Ethan stood still, his eyes on a newspaper article featuring his wife, Avery as the new business tycoon of the new generation, with a big picture on the front page.
Ethan slammed the newspaper on his desk.
"Damn it!" With a sudden, primal scream of frustration, Ethan punched onto the desk, the impact echoing in the quiet room. He repeated the action, again and again, the wooden surface groaning under the relentless assault.
Blood begins to seep from the knuckles of his right hand, the pain intensifying with each blow. Despite the pain, Ethan continues to unleash his pent-up anger on the desk, his mind consumed by a storm of emotions.
Linda, Ethan's stern and efficient secretary, hurriedly entered the office room, trying to maintain her composure, after witnessing Ethan's breakdown.
"Sir" Linda called out, frustrated after Ethan stopped.
