Max didn't know how long he ran for. Looking around, he wondered where he was. The factory was like a maze with no way out.
Max stopped for a minute, watching the ground closely like a hawk before taking steps toward his left.
He had a hunch that he was walking on the same path constantly. He looked at the brown tiles in front of him which were once white. It had countless marks of blood and footsteps, making it harder to guess those.
He looked back at the girl on his back. She had been constantly whispering to him from time to time, requesting him to drop her somewhere at the beginning but now she was as quiet as a broken doll.
His heart shook.
'Oh God, please this can't be happening… Please' Max begged God again and again before moving his trembling body to let Clara down.
"Thud"
Clara drops from his back, lifelessly.
He leaned toward Clara, she looked like she was peacefully sleeping.
