Valeria was saying to Rose, but she wasn't listening. No, she was, but she wished she wasn't.
Valeria sighed. Even Jose was in no position to help her, as he too was distant in the room, mind wagering off.
"Rose, are you listening?" She asked again.
Rose smiled, though it didn't reach her heart. "I'm just glad everything is working out fine for you, Valeria." She said, "you have your kids now."
"And your husband." Jose chirped in.
"The two of us are not really back together. We're only co-parenting because of the kids." Valeria explained, knowing fully well that it wouldn't make any difference.
She wondered for a second if she and Jose could have ever been a thing!
"Either way, you have your family back. You don't need me anymore." Rose said, obvious she was devastated by the news.
"I do need you. I still do! I'm not going to resign, and we still need to get close to Alejandro so we can finally meet A. You promised me!"
