Valeria stood there with an unexplainable expression. Rowan didn't know if he was to leave them or remain till the air was cleared. Valeria felt like she was in one of those scenes in a movie when the cast is dumbfounded to the extent that she even forgot to close her mouth that dropped in awe.
Dali couldn't believe what her innocent eyes were about to witness. The questions that kept repeating in her head were, was her mother really about to kiss their neighbor that just moved in?! Why was her mother dressed so beautifully? Did she really spend the whole evening with their new neighbor?
"Uhm hi! I'm the new neighbor." Rowan's words broke the awkward silence that lingered in the air. "Your mom and I, we were just uhm..."
Dali stared at him with a kind of look that said; 'I know what you two were about to do but let me hear your stupid excuse'
