Sitting around the fire Bark, Jen, Cassie, and Sydney blankly looked towards the fir. The flames seemed to always be different never looking exactly the same even if it looked the same.
"We lost more than half of our friends," Said Bark breaking the silence in a soft voice on the verge of breaking down.
Not even nodding the rest of them lowered their heads in shame for not being brave enough to help them and even if the chances were slim to none, save them.
"By the Divine grace of god we were saved by lady luck herself," Jen said in a sad tone solidifying her feelings on the matter. She out of everyone couldn't fight not because she couldn't or didn't want to but due to her class restrictions.
"The food seems to be done, any of you hungry?" Bark asked trying to liven the mood a little so that they don't brood in their own despair.
They all simulatinously held out a hand towards him as he handed out a stick with a roasted rabbit on it. Each of them started to eat and the mood changed slightly as they consumed something other than rations.
Even as the mood became more positive all but bark noticed three more sticks with roasted rabbit on it.
"Why are there three more sticks with food on it Bark?" Cassie asked for she was the quickest of the bunch currently to speak out what they were all thinking at the moment.
"Oh these, I made them for those three over there. They kinda saved us and I thought if by any chance they are able to heal the guy and he gets up they could have something to eat." Bark said in a grateful voice showing the group how thankful he was for being saved, even if the gesture was small.
"Well we can only wait and see what happens since its been hours and they still haven't left his side." Sydney said wierdly, since she was the most calm and monotonous of the bunch unless she gets riled up.

Some hours later the group awoke suddenly as they heard crying. Rushing out of their makeshift shelter from the root cave they saw the small group.
In the middle of the group sat a man, tall and lean. Hugging him from both sides were the women who came and saved not only him but them too by association.
They just stood their in the shadow looking at him in the moonlight. His eyes that seemed to resemble the morning sun, amber-gold with a crimson red hue. He smiled towards them, a smile that was the best weapon against women for it was the most charming smile any of them had seen even though it was the dead of night.
He kept stroking the women's hair as they cried in his embrace. Not looking away from them he just nodded and laid down on the ground with the women in his arms seemingly falling asleep.
They watched him slowly lay down, embracing the women after nodding at them. They all felt at peace with his presence but uneasy at the same time for he was an unknown, but they all felt he was here for a reason.
After standing around for some time they all decided to get some sleep, but also keeping there guards up for they did not know what was around lurking in the dark.

(Back to Mike)
The sun was shining brightly in my eyes waking me from my sleep. I groaned from having the blasted light shining in my eyes and attempted to sit up, unexpectedly I felt heavy around my chest area.
I looked down to see both Sasha and Sarah strewn across my chest with red-rimmed eyes and tear streak marks running down their beautiful faces.
Looking around a little while laying back on the grass he noticed smoke rising to his left where he saw the reminents of the group last night. So he slowly shimmied his way out from underneath them, gently placing them together on the grass and walking over to the fire.
He stood up and stretched a little, raising his arms up and to the right as well as his legs and pushing his wasit to the left. Feeling those oh so amazing pops and the muscles being stretched he noticed something.
"I feel different somehow.... I will need to check my stats later," I thought to myself for something was off and I couldn't put my finger on it.
Putting that off for now I started walking over towards the smoke to see what was happening. I didn't want to seem like a threat or anything intimidating so I walked on over as relaxed as I could. I was a good bit away from them so when I was able to get a good glimpse of them I was taken aback slightly.
Each of them were fine with some exceptions being brusies at the worst. I just put on a smile and waved at them, one seemed to notice me a little and looked up and at me since I closed the distance quite quickly.
The person that was looking at me was of obsidian black hair with skin to match even being a couple shades lighter, her eyes were as green as an emerald and I couldnt stop looking at her.
*Cough*
One of them coughed to get me out of my daze which seemed to get the girl to I guess blush since she was acting all shy and looking down. I too also snapped out of it and quickly apologised for making her feel uncomfortable, after that I asked if I could sit with them.
They all egarly nodded and the girl sitting next to the dark skinned beauty hopped away and waved me over. I had a smile on my face from the action of the women, and the clear as day blush mixed with embarrassment the dark skinned woman had.
Not really understanding much about anything I started off blunt with them to gauge their reactions.
"Sooo.... who are you guys?" I know I wanted to ask my more important questions but getting their image of me to raise will be better.
"OH! Sorry for not introducing ourselves, there were more of us before the orc ambush killed them," The blonde said in a sad and trailing off voice.
The blonde was unable to continue so the brunette continued for her, " I am Sydney, She is cassie and the last girl who is sitting next to you is named Jen, While this guy over here is Bark, my brother." I nodded throughout the whole introduction while lingering on Jen longer than the others, she noticed and shyly smiled and I think blushed, I can't tell with how dark her skin is.
"Ok, since you had introduced yourselves I'll do the same. I am Mike and those lovely women over there are Sasha and Sarah, the more pale one is Sasha and the other with the rich carmel tan is Sarah."
"I also have another question for it concerns me, how long has the world been like this? I only ask since Sasha, Sarah and I were trapped for what may have seemed like a really long time on the outside but was only a week for us." I said in a serious tone proving I wasn't trying to joke around.
Their eyes went wide because they knew something and were hesitating to say before Jen took the initiative and spoke first, "We know very little because of our friend, but her grandmother will know more." Jen kept full eye contact the entire time until she finished and realised this before avoiding my eye entirely and litterally dove behind the brunette to hide.
I chuckled at her antics finding them amusing and cute. I looked back at my girls and then back at them before saying anything.
"I accept but you will also need to convince them for they are more aggressive then me and less patient." I pointed back at them then, "SO!!!" I said probably a little to loudly and startled them, "Why don't you tell me more about yourselves."
