Chapter 18 - A Disadvantageous Fight

(Mike)

I dashed into the frey grabbing a hold of two beasts that were about to kill the women. I ran away from them with their heads in my hands and threw them against the trees sending them flying through multiple while hearing the audible snaps of the trees.

I then ran back, faster than the goblins could react I chopped through their necks so quickly and with such strength the decapitation didn't spray blood out immediately.

I stopped for a second to get my bearings and count my remaining enemies. I then noticed a lingering presence in the underbrush of the trees, stalking, waiting for the right time to strike.

I moved.

"Hmmph," I threw a punch towards an orc that landed squarely on its lower jaw. A breaking sound could be heard as the jaw itself soon followed after being ripped off the orc, then the head itself became an after thought as it evaporated from the force I generated in my punch.

I took note that about a handful of monsters where left, 12 orcs with each one being bigger than the last, a few dozen goblins and a mysterious and strong enemy in the forrest.

I didn't want to waste anymore time, I lunged for the group of monsters for they seemed to be the most agile and mobile marking them for quick elimination.

I reached two of the monsters and with percise thrusts with my hands I dug into the flesh of the monsters that now that I look closely at them seem to resemble tigers or some sort of cat.

I drove my hand in as far as I could reach and rip out their hearts while they still beat. I kept searching blindly for both hearts as there writhing started to be turned into ferocious attacks with swipes and kicks with their claws extended trying to end my life quickly.

I still kept my hands in and finally I found them and ripped them out, but not before taking damge as I recived a swipe to the neck that barely grazed me and a narly gash alongside my thigh.

I couldn't stop here for I was facing countless enemies that could overwhelm me if I stopped for a second and a boss that was lurking around, waiting.

"Ugh," I grunted from the pain made from the swipes and gash made from the monster.

I stumbled a little causing my now emenies to sense weakness and there need to attack overwhelmed their reasoning, that was there downfall.

I noticed many goblins and orcs charging towards me, I dropped the corpses as quickly as I could and barely was able to dodge multiple goblins trying to jump on me wearing nothing but loin cloths and having either clubs or rusted daggers and swords.

The orcs tried smashing me in wielding there strength and bulk to try and ram me. I continued to be on the defensive though, barely being able to keep up with the amount of enemies in front and around me.

My [Martial Prowess] is the only thing that is helping me keep up with all these enemies then something suprising happened.

*TWANG*

The sound of a bow releasing an arrow was heard and accompanying that twang was the sound of flesh being pierced.

*TWANG*

*TWANG*

*TWANG*

More arrows came to my aid and helped push back my foes. The arrows helped and hindered me for the fact a skill was used to multiply the number of arrows being shot. I looked quickly to see who was the one shooting the arrows and to my suprise it was the woman who was yelling at the blonde on the ground.

"STOP SHOOTING!! IT'S HINDERING MY ABILITY TO FIGHT BACK! SHOOT ONLY WHEN IT LOOKS LIKE IM IN TROUBLE!" I ordered her to stop shooting and only shoot when it looks like im in trouble.

I didn't pay anymore attention to her as I felt a bone deep pain in my calf after I finished speaking.

"AAAGGGHHH!!!" I yelled in pain and frustration, now favoring my bad leg I tried to fight back only being able to deflect and shove due to my crippling as the hands of a oppertunistic orc. The orc didn't make it out alive but it successfully crippled me to a degree.

Then without warning something fast and big shot from the treeline straight for me, I dodged out of the way just in time since right where I had been a crator about 15 feet wide and 7 feet deep was made.

I wanted to curse myself for helping these people but I didn't regret it for I knew I could win.... until now. I stared at the tall and imposing being that was standing there with pure greed and lust for power.

It looked to be at least 9 feet tall and could weigh up to 1 ton just by its proportions alone.

I gaped at the massive Orc,.... yes that's right it was an Orc. An or with a capital O at the beginning, and it seemed pissed. I slowly got back to my feet only to feel pain where I hadn't when I went down.

I quickly glanced and in doing so I let my guard down allowing my enemy to take the chance to launch itself towards me.

I opened my eyes wide at the shocking speed and agility the GIANT Orc shown, I couldn't understand how a being of its size could move like that.

I had to wipe away my shock and fear quickly, I nearly missed its fist that swung for my head. The force generated by its giant meat hammers that it calls hands created such force the wind that was made from the punch felt like a small gale.

I rolled away and as quickly as my disabled self could get up I got up only to have to lean back and basically be back where I started.

I was not in a good positionto do anything so I did what I had to.... I begged for help.

"LADY I COULD USE YOUR HELP PLEASE IN DISTRACTING HIM!!!" I yelled for the archers attention. I was stuck between being beaten to death or dying from a popped blood vessel for having to ask for help after I saved their asses.

The archer shook her head and regained her composure then letting loose a volly of arrows that struck the Orc making it look like a porcupine. It staggered a little, just enough for me to make distance and trying to get into a fighting stance.

I then looked back to the Orc after setting up for round 2. I looked the Orc dead in the eyes and couldn't resist saying it..., "Time for round 2 motherfucker!"
