Jacob head home from his office to his residence, where Ellie, the woman he loves, is also there.
Upon entering, Marcus's nanny greeted him,
"I'm about to leave, sir. Ma'am is already in her room, resting with Marcus."she said to him
He simply nodded and proceeded to his room. Taking a deep sigh, he sat on his bed, feeling like he and Ellie were just roommates, contrary to what he had hoped for. He knew Ellie still had no romantic feelings for him until now.
He doesn't know whether to continue his foolishness with Ellie or stop. It's been five years, but Ellie has never responded to his courtship.
He lay down and gazed at the ceiling, imagining the beautiful face of Ellie in the void. However, in his imagination, the face of Kate, the woman he had a one-night stand with two months ago, suddenly appeared. Tsssk. He shook his head and dismissed the woman's face from his mind.
