Chapter 57 - Chapter 57 - The Competition (4)

Kevin looked around and saw nothing but ruins and rubble from what appeared to be a city. Kevin did not want to waste time and wanted to directly find those monsters that the commentator talked about, which Kevin knew existed in the real world and that they were the reason behind the existence of heroes in the first place or something like that, but he had not seen one of those monsters yet.

"That commentator did not tell us the method of obtaining points in this round in detail. Rather, he only said that we should fight monsters. Whatever it is, I will find out sooner or later."

Immediately after he finished his sentence, Kevin sprinted forward like a lion searching for prey. He checked every corner he passed, but without slowing down, over and over until he finally found one of the monsters.

The appearance of the monster was actually ordinary; with horns on its head and distorted skin of a disgusting green color, its huge and hairy physique, its red eyes, and the great desire for blood coming from it, it was like any evil demon in another world.

Kevin frowned when he saw this demon, but he remembered that he was in a virtual world, so no one had really died, so he smiled in relief, but he thought about the possibility that this was a simulation of an event that had actually happened before and that this city was real and had been destroyed and its residents killed by this satan, so Kevin returned to frowning while thinking. Seeing the changes in Kevin's facial features, Satan felt that he was being underestimated, so he screamed in extreme anger and attacked Kevin.

But the handsome young man did not move from his place but only looked coldly at the demon until he approached him dangerously with his horns, and only then did Kevin move. But he did not avoid the attack but rather grabbed the monster's horns and became in a position facing the monster, which did not understand what happened.

How could an unawakened human possess the strength to stop a monster five times its size? But Kevin not only did that, but he also changed his position and retreated a little, which made the monster lose his balance, and then Kevin pressed the devil's horns and stuck them in the ground before jumping on the monster's back. He tightened his fist tightly and brought it down on the monster's back with full force, and then in the next moment the monster was lying on the ground without moving, with imaginary blood coming out of it.

In the real world, spectators watched everything that happened inside the virtual world via the giant screen.

"Who the hell is this boy?"

"First round , and now this! He took down the monster without weapons, but only with raw power!"

"Is it possible that he is already awake?"

"What are you talking about, stupid? If he had been awake, the experts would have identified him immediately."

"Is this what the competition was like in previous years? Oh my God, we are truly witnessing the birth of a champion!"

People were talking and gossiping among themselves about the scene that happened in front of him. Kevin was the first person to encounter one of the monsters and also the first person to eliminate one of them, so the spotlight was on him.

Inside the virtual world, Kevin saw the monster's corpse turn into digital data and disappear before he heard a voice in his ear saying that he got seven points because he killed a third-rate monster with an A rating. Kevin did not understand exactly how monsters were divided in this world, but he knew that there were three levels of monsters, and each level had four classifications, so the monster he killed was supposed to be strong for normal, unarmed people.

After Kevin thought a little about how to make points, he felt that his head was starting to heat up, so he decided to forget about it for now and focus only on hunting monsters, so he quickly continued his way forward.

Elsewhere, Arthur was examining a broken-down shop. He had heard some noises coming from it. When he entered, he discovered two eyeball-like creatures with wings and an insect-like receiver instead of eyelashes.

"You're really disgusting, aren't you?"

Arthur smiled as he saw that the two monsters had noticed his presence and began flying around him in circles. Arthur took his hand out of his pants pockets, leaned forward slightly, and focused on the movements of the two monsters.

"How are the eyeballs going to attack me?" Arthur thought

In the next moment, Arthur felt that one of the two monsters had disappeared from his point of view, so he tried to search for him everywhere before he felt something very heavy fall on his head from above. Arthur pulled back in pain and spat out some blood, then looked at the attacker to discover that it was the eyeball he had previously lost track of.

"Haha, so you're tougher than I thought."

Arthur laughed and wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth before lightly stepping back and looking in slow motion at the second eyeball that tried to attack him from the side. Arthur regained his balance and ran to the corner of the store, picked up a rusty piece of iron, and returned to face the two monsters, holding the piece of iron and saying:

"Please come forward and take a piece of me."

The two monsters circled around Arthur again, and again Arthur lost track of one of the two monsters, but this time he was ready. The moment he felt the air behind him change, Arthur quickly turned around with the rush of the iron cat that stabbed directly into his eyeball. Arthur felt that the world was moving slowly. When he saw blood starting to come out of his eyeball, he quickly fell on top of the disgusting monster and stabbed deeper inside to the point that the monster began to flop violently, but Arthur only applied more force until the monster stopped moving, and then Arthur was not relieved because he quickly turned around and The piece of iron was in his hand, and although he was not sure if the second monster was behind him, his intuition told him to make this move, and in fact, when he made this sudden move, Arthur injured the second monster, which intended to attack him from behind. In pain, the second monster tried to move away, but Arthur jumped nimbly and pursued the monster that could not escape, and the matter ended with Arthur killing the second monster as well. Then he heard a voice in his ear saying that he had received ten points for killing two third-class monsters, classification B.

"Hmm, so they were very weak. Without a weapon, I wouldn't have done this much damage to them."

Arthur thought that third-rate monsters were indeed weak, but they still needed to be confronted with weapons. After stopping for a while, Arthur continued on his way towards a large house that looked terrible from afar.
