Chapter 48 - Chapter 48 - Rematch (1)

When Jack's gaze was filled with the beautiful light of the sunset, the malicious sounds also went with him. Although he could still hear them, he was better off than before. He fell to the hard ground and then sighed.

Jack stopped for a moment and looked down. He realized that he had failed miserably now. He had killed the most important person in this world in front of others, which would make the Wilson family executed if he was found to be the perpetrator. He had also angered everyone at the funeral. He broke Sarah and Emma's hearts, and currently he is in the most dangerous place possible in this world, far away from them, without even saying goodbye to them or offering a proper dialogue with them.

"Ooo i fu*k up.....

' that was...meh whatever. I'm glad I didn't lose control."

Duck looked around for a few moments before continuing.

Well, I guess I'll do the rematch on my own, okay? Jack got up and straightened his back.

"System, are you going to malfunction again? Upon saying this, Jack realized something; his eyes widened, and then he hit his forehead with his head, making sounds of disappointment.

"Thinking about it, I didn't inquire about why you were unemployed in the first place. Damn, you really have become as careless as an old man. A wonderful old man."

Jack showed an expression of confusion and bewilderment.>

"A curse wave? I've never experienced that...or maybe I haven't felt it?"

< True, the high-frequency curse wave directly damages the user's soul, and since the system is the shield for the user's soul, the defense agent resulted in injuries, which forced me to stop working to repair them.

"Harm to my soul, and without even realizing it... Oooh. Jack shuddered at the thought of it.

Jack looked at the distant point of sunset light and then said:

"Well, at least I know now that whatever is in there is super powerful. Jack was silent for a moment, then continued, "Are there any indications that I will not be exposed to that wave again? And if that happens, how long will I be disabled?"

< There are no indications of any upcoming wave, so the user will be able to use the system efficiently this time until the end, but if another curse wave is launched, the stopping period is not only related to the date of completion of the system's self-cleaning, as the user must move away from that area due to the remaining effects. From the wave >

Oh, great, perfect, then I have to wait for a long time, and on top of that, I have to stay away from the remnants of a wave that is not visible or tangible to me. Yes, no problem; it doesn't matter. I just want to finish this matter already. I can't wait to give that saint and his monks the taste of fear! Jack smiled as he moved forward.

...

Jack was following the same path he took last time, with the same scenery and islands. He arrived where he killed that spherical monster, where he remembered the character Mondo from the diary. He continued on his way without stopping until he reached the crying monster, where this time he did not ignore him but rather summoned his new armor. And try to touch that green material.

Although he noticed that the substance had penetrated the armor and felt the burning sensation for a moment, his beautiful armor became effective and developed as the pain quickly disappeared and the place that had been burned was quickly renewed as well. Then he summoned his dear dagger and quickly and gently cut off the head of the monster. The crying person, gently so that he does not feel the pain anymore, but quickly so that his suffering ends in an instant

Jack then continued on his way, and finally, after walking for a long time, he reached the island of monsters. This time, without doing any concealment or hiding, he entered the island and was covered in black armor with beautiful silver curves, while his head was uncovered and he was trying to put a look of disbelief on his face. But she was just cold as he held his dear dagger in his left hand and approached them little by little.

The monsters noticed the strange visitor approaching, so some of them started screaming while running towards Jack, while others did not move and were content only to watch from afar or cry in silence.

Jack tilted his body slightly forward and quickly moved towards them, cutting them so smoothly and lightly that the monsters themselves did not realize that they had been cut. They were dying without pain or suffering. For a sword expert like Jack, this thing was simple, but he realized that it was actually better. Something he could give them as a farewell gift. One after the other, Jack passed among them, leaving behind him corpses falling on the ground until he reached a monster who was wearing torn clothes, but looking at them closely, they resembled the clothes of explorers. Jack paused for a moment and then said,

"Yo, you're back. I know you don't understand me, and honestly, I'd rather you didn't, but hey, this will help me stay focused on my humanity, so do you want to sit and talk while we drink tea? I can scream, you know."

That monster had realized the visitor in front of him, and in addition to the fact that he was slaughtering the creatures on the island with him, he had stolen something dear to him, something important, and now he was very rampant.

"OooooooAAAAA" The monster screamed angrily and pounced on Jack, moving very quickly in relation to the rest of the monsters, but in the next moment, the scene in front of him changed from the appearance of a young man with black hair and heavenly eyes to a world turned upside down.

Without Dover realizing it, Jack had cut off his head. Dover the monster did not feel any pain, but for some reason before he stopped living, he felt a strange feeling—a hot and new feeling for him, but at the same time a familiar feeling—a good feeling. In the next moment, he felt his eyelids becoming heavier and heavier, his vision becoming blurry, and the sounds around him gradually decreasing until the world sank into darkness and eternal silence.

Jack looked at the corpse in front of him, then returned his sight to the island, where many monsters remained that did not move to attack him before he advanced towards them to kill them all.

....

After Jack cleansed that large island of all monsters, he continued on his way towards the place where he saw the monks for the first time, but this time there was a devilish smile on his face.
