Chapter 2 - World Outside the Home

In the blink of an eye, six years passed...

One radiant morning, amidst the soothing sounds of birds chirping and rustling of leaves from breezes outside, the inside of the castle was awash with bustling energy. Footsteps echoing in long corridors, voices calling, and urgency saturated the air.

Footfalls of maids echoed in a frenzied rhythm, mingling with their urgent exclamations: "Prince Nathan, where are you?" making a commotion.

Within the castle's halls, maids exchanged words of concern and direction, their voices carrying traces of anxiety. "Did you locate Prince Nathan?" one implored, and another replied, "Not yet. I'll search there, you check here." Each word was woven with tension.

Amidst the whole turmoil, a distinctive yet familiar small figure slowly appeared from behind the intersection of the hallway.

From behind it, Nathan emerged, the architect of the maid's worries.

With his father's amber eyes and a cascade of golden hair with a tint of amber at the ends, he bore the visage of royalty.

Uttering words in a half-childish timbre, "Thank goodness they've departed. I can't freely go without the maids in castles, they just don't let go of me, Now, I'm free to explore."

With a triumphant gleam in his eyes, Nathan embraced the thrill of youthful escapades.

While going toward the end goal of his escape, muttering to himself.

"It has been six years already, from the day I was born in this world, although at first, it was difficult to get used to the things as a baby and being pampered by maids and all"

"But I slowly got used to it, as my status is very high in this country, as the first prince of 'De Von Valdyr Kingdom', because these six years have been a breeze compared to my past life with college loans, then me having leukemia after some years of working and dying tragically"

As he walked forward in the hallway sneakily, without being seen by maids, he continued "Well, at that time I had thought it was the end just like anyone, but I guess my will to live tenacious enough for the universe to give me another chance."

Nathan stopped his feet in front of a large cedar grand creamed colored wooden door, with golden knobs on it, smiles putting both his hands on each side of his waist, as he continues "Being 28 years old modern men in mind has its own advantage too like I learned to walk early, and learned how to read and write quickly than any other kid this age."

"I had already learned fair much about this world or rather surroundings of this kingdom, with the words that I learned which look and sound somewhat like a language from a past famous TV series with dragons, so it was hard to learn it."

Taking a small sigh he puts his hands on one of the golden door knobs, pushing open one of the two large doors slightly making a gap for him to pass through.

Coming inside the peaceful space of the library, with sunlight coming through the glasses on the walls, with the smell of old paper and glue bindings, he takes out a fairly thick book and puts it on the ground.

While opening its pages, he says "I have already read this history book many times to make myself familiar with it, like the royal family of 'De Von Valdyr kingdom' in which I was reborn, it was established by the late first king 'Adello De Von Valdyr', and the castle I am right now is the royal family castle, in capital city 'Axum'."

Pointing his fingers at the map in the book, he continues "which is in the southernmost part of the continent named 'Lanark', sharing our western borders with one of the largest kingdoms, Holy empire 'Casentino' ruled by the Casentino the fifth, who believes in the supremacy of the sky God 'Celestorial', one of the Children of the creator god 'Eru Ilúvatar', but it's more like a cult to me."

"Next is the 'Kano' empire of the beastmen, 'Ulaborg' Empire of dwarfs both of them are in the east."

Thinking about the inhabitants of the other empires a little bit of drool started coming from one side of his mouth, as he mutters "I am very excited meeting some beastmen in the future if they are like the way I think."

Wiping his little drool with his sleeve hurriedly, he focused himself again, continuing "Uhh.. in the north are two areas but if the large forest is included it will be three, one of which is in the north but not bordering our kingdom, inhabited by vagabonds and criminals from all over the kingdom, hence I named it bandit land, the other is 'Aliech' kingdom, this kingdom mostly accepts every race, while it being ruled by dragnoids and dragonets humans."

"Other is the vast expanse of forest, which only borders a little to our kingdom, The massive 'Eastaol' forest stretching from west bordering some parts of Casentino to the neighboring kingdom of 'Ulaborg' The Magic kingdom of 'Alaroth', with a numerous and large number of monsters and the kingdom of tree-loving Elves, The 'Exolos' kingdom, in the heart of the forest.

Turning the page of the book, he continues "And other than these, there is the ocean in the south of the kingdom, prone to attacks of the pirates from the vast seas, other than them there are some small island nations, which we have trade ties with."

"Next is the vast mountains of perpetual winters beyond the Estaol forest in the north, which is said to be inhabited by the dragons and cyclopses, there are more things like the barbarian grasslands and forest of dark elves, and other wonders but, forget that I will learn it some other day."

Closing the book of kingdoms, Nathan hurriedly stood up in excitement and using a rolling ladder, took out a tome with a black leather cover and gold bindings, the words written on its outside with a gold print.
