Chapter 26 - Chapter 25

Maha had tested Aban's temper in various ways, accompanying him even when he spent time with other men. She had subjected him to torture in many ways, but Aban had never so much as uttered a word of complaint. Eventually, Maha had to bow before Aban's true love. They began to live happily together, spending a considerable amount of time with each other. Maha had also developed feelings of love for Aban. Aban would go to work and return home quickly, while Maha eagerly awaited his return. They traveled the world together, visiting places like Turkey, the Maldives, Dubai, and even Azar Bhaijan. Maha had become independent, buying the college canteen and a taxi with her earnings. Aban asked Maha, "What do you say we get married?"

Maha replied, "No, Aban, I've told you that I will never get married. I'll spend my whole life with you like this, but I won't marry."

Surprised, Aban inquired, "But Maha, do you still doubt me?"

Maha smiled and said, "No, Aban, I have no doubt about you. If I doubted you, I wouldn't be here with you right now.

But Maha, what harm is there in getting married?"

Maha found herself immersed in a sea of emotions, her heart unburdening in a torrent of heartfelt words. Her gaze softened, and her voice took on the dulcet tones of profound affection as she spoke to Aban.

"Aban," she began, "since our paths converged, the world around me has transformed into an exquisite tapestry of beauty. Even in the darkest corners of my soul, where I once felt like a lifeless specter, you breathed life into me in ways I could never have foreseen. I emerged from the abyss of despair, and every heartbeat, every fleeting moment of existence, has been bathed in newfound splendor. But it is you, my dearest Aban, who has gifted me this second chance at happiness."

Her eyes, shimmering with unshed tears, remained locked onto his, and her voice held the cadence of a heartfelt confession. "When I gaze upon you, Aban, I am overwhelmed by the profound sense that Allah destined our paths to intertwine. It is as if all those trials and tribulations of the past were but stepping stones leading me to you. For, in this world, one does not gain without giving, and those sacrifices were the crucible in which my love for you was forged."

Maha's words danced with passion, her soul laid bare before Aban. "You, Aban, you are my universe; you are the very essence of my being. No one has ever bestowed upon me a love as boundless and pure as the one you've gifted me. Your love is a beacon that has guided me out of the shadows of my own insecurities, teaching me to stand proudly upon my own two feet, to revel in the joy of self-discovery. In this vast world, bereft of other connections, it is you who are my family, my life's cornerstone, and my most cherished treasure."

As her fingers gently caressed his, her voice, now a whispered promise, rang out like a vow of eternal devotion. "Aban, I yearn to share this life with you, each precious moment painted in the hues of unwavering love and happiness. With you, every day is a journey to a new dawn, and every night, a serene sanctuary in your arms. Together, our love will be a timeless symphony, a melody that will resonate through the annals of eternity."
