Chapter 4 - Chapter Three

[TW: Mentions of Pedophilia, Incest, and Sexual Abuse]

The two sons of Count Agnok, who are twenty years of age, both have dark green hair and emerald eyes, their features were so much like each other's that it was really hard to tell them apart unless you truly squint your eyes and mind their expressions.

The older twin, Ricky Ferdinand Agnok, had a more fox like personality, he has a smile plastered on his face almost all the time.

While the younger twin, Roswell Felix Agnok, had a more serious personality, his lips are flat almost all the time.

  "...."

I felt a chill as I felt Ricky Ferdinand size me up from head to toe, he rubbed his chin while smiling.

"Hmm...."

I gripped the handle of the teacup as I smiled at him innocently, tilting my head.

"Hm? What is it?"  I tried to say in a sweet voice as much as I can.

'It would be bad if they become wary of me so early.'

I had to let their gaurds down until I'm physically and metally old enough to defend myself agaisnt them.

  "?"

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Roswell Felix Agnok blush a little after hearing my voice. Disgust brimmed in my stomach and I felt like puking.

  'Does... he..?'

"Hm? Awh~ why are you staring at Roswell like that little miss?" Ferdinand said in a luscious voice while staring at me coldly.

"Uh- uhm... there's just a catetpillar on his shoulder." Thankfully, maybe becuase I was essentiall for the plot, this world seems to somehow help me with these little things.

"Hm?" Not believing me, Ferdinand aproached Roswell and saw a caterpillar on his shoulder like I said.

"Oh? Are you afraid of things like this little miss?"

Ferdinand picked up the caterpillar and threw it aside into the garden.

I quickly nodded, shaking a little bit because of relief in which he misunderstood as fear for the carerpillar.

He stared at me for a few seconds and his gaze became somewhat soft.

He aproached me and softly patted my back, "It's okay, little miss. The caterpillar's gone." He said in a soft warm voice like a mother coaxing her child.

'Did I make him lose his guard?' I wondered as I continued being comforted by him.

I glanced at Roswell who cast me a worried look, I would have took that as him worrying over a child like Ferdinand, but seeing his reaction earlier, I don't think he just sees me as a child, I have to make sure not to get too close too him if it's near evening.

  "Wuu...."

"Eh? Young miss are you crying?" Ferdinand asked, looking at my face.

I nodded as I sobbed, "This is such a scary place, I want my mommy and daddy...."

Ferdinand became a little flustered, 'I've never thought about calming down a child before.'

I felt Ferdinand patting my back, trying to reassure me or calm me down.

"It's okay little miss, we won't hurt you."

'He's lying.' I knew that because there would be no way he wouldn't try to harm his step-mother who was currently half his age and would probably live longer than him.

I slowly stopped crying and apologised to them. "I'm very sorry, I showed you both a very unlikely sight of me."

Ferdinand shook his hands and said, "It's okay little miss, it's normal for children to cry."

"You can come to us anytime you feel sad or negative." Roswell said, making me flinch inside, but I pretended that I was comforted by his words.

I nodded at him and smiled, "Okay!"

"How about you take a rest little miss? You must still be exhausted from the wedding."

I nodded and stood up, "Then, I'll go now, thank you for having me." I bid them farewell and left the garden.

"....."

"..."

  Ferdinand glanced at Rosswell.

  Rosswell turned his head away.

"....."

"....."

An awkward and chilling silence befell them both.

The attending servants stood frozen, fully knowing that if any of them moved an inch, their heads might fall to the ground.

Ferdinand waved his hand in gesture to the servants that they can leave them alone, the servants did as he said and left the scene.

After exiting the garden, they all released a breath of relief.

"Whew, I thought I was gonna gey killed by how tense the athmosphere was."

A servant said, as he loosened his bowtie.

"Haa.. of course it would be tense, their father, the count, suddenly married a child. Do you know how much that'll inconvenience them?"

Another male sevant nodded at her words.

"That's true, everything about this situation is just so nerve-wracking. Especially now that Young master Ricky Ferdinand is in a bad mood, I hope I'll be able to keep all of my ten fingers this week."

"Seriously, don't remind me of that stuff..." A female servant groaned.

"B-but you know..."

They all turned to the youngest servant,  wondering what she has to say.

"Don't you think the vibe between thoe young masters... is just kind of weird...?"

"Weird? What do you mean?"

"Ah, it's just a feeling, but their vibe kinda reminds me of the vibe I used to get when my older sister was with her abusive ex-husband."

""Hm?""

"Youngest, what do you mean by that?"

"Well... their vibe is just like.. a prey and their victim... or rather, the victim and the abuser."

The other servants couldn't understand what she meant and just ignored her words.

'Young master Rosswell's body language... reminded me of my older sister whenever she was around her ex-husband though...' The young servant thought, putting that idea at the back of her head.

Rosswell calmly sipped on the teacup, as Ferdinand sat directly in front of him, staring straight at him.

Rosswell eventually got annoyed and put down his teacup, glaring at him.

  "What?"

Ferdinand smirked and snaked his hand towards him, "Brother, I'm a little bit jealous~."

Rosswell frowned, "What are you talking about? And don't you dare touch me." He slapped his hand away before it could touch him.

"You're so bad at hiding it, you were literally oogling your eyes at her."

Ferdinand rested his chin on his palm and tilted his head.

"So you like little girls, that's unexpected."

Rosswell slammed his fist on the table, glaring harder at him. "I don't."

"Ooh~, so does that mean you like me then?"

Rosswell looked at him in disgust and stood up, storming away from the garden.

"Hmm..."

Ferdinand didn't stop him and just sat there with a thoughtful look on his face.

"I'll just watch the fun for now."

'I think it was briefly mentioned in the novel...'

I walked through the halls towards my room, thinking about the novel's content.

'The twin brothers... had a... relationship.. a relationship that was initiated by the older one, that completely ruined their bond and made the younger brother twisted.'

I sighed, thinking of how troublesome everything is.

'I think only my sister, the main character, will discover their relationship.'

'I don't know about me though, maybe I knew, but died before being able to tell anyone else.'

I played with the small vial that contained putple liquid in my hand, then I stopped and glanced at Eli, my maid.

She tilted he head and asked, "Is there something wrong, my lady?"

I shook my head and continued walking, "It's nothing."
