The night fell quickly upon us, enveloping the old mansion in darkness.

Despite the uneasy warnings from within, we chose to spend the night, seeking safety within its ancient walls.

Little did I know, this decision would soon haunt us.

As the moon's faint light streamed through the window, Lisa and I settled into our beds.

Just as sleep began to tug at our senses, a sudden noise shattered the calm.

With a loud crash, a viper burst through the window, its huge shape looming over us.

Paralyzed with shock, Lisa and I watched as the snake's upper body slithered into the room, while its lower half remained outside.

Its eyes locked onto us, and it let out a fierce hiss, sending chills down our spines.

*Hiss*

Instinctively, I seized Lisa's hand, urging her to escape. "We need to leave!" I whispered urgently.

But Lisa's voice quivered as she asked, "But how? It's right in front of us!"
