Chapter 104 - War (Part-4)

As we entered the bartender store, a scene of mess greeted us. Tables were overturned, bottles smashed, and chairs strewn across the floor. It was evident that someone had ransacked the place.

I glanced around, my suspicions growing. Could it be that the old man who ran this bar had done this?

I couldn't shake the thought from my mind as I signaled for my companions to come upstairs with me.

Once we reached the secret door, I said the code, and it opened, showing the lizardman sitting there, with a sword stuck in his chest.

Thomas quickly went over to see if he was alive.

"My lord, he's dead," he confirmed, his voice grave.

I nodded, my mind racing with questions. How had this happened?

'I thought he seemed like a high-ranking officer, but his death happened too easily.' (Alex)

The lizardman seemed formidable; his death seemed too easy.

Lisa's voice broke through my thoughts, her concern evident. "What should we do now?"
