Exiting the inn, we entered a dark alley together, the narrow passage offering some semblance of cover from prying eyes. As we gathered in the dimly lit space, Daniel's question hung in the air like a heavy fog.
"My lord, what should we do now?" he asked, his tone tinged with urgency.
Everyone, including my wife, turned their attention to me, awaiting my decision. With a calm demeanor, I spoke up.
"No need to worry, guys. For now, let's equip ourselves with weapons," I suggested, trying to ease the rising worry among us.
Mia interjected, her voice filled with concern, "Are we going to fight the knights, my lord?"
Shaking my head, I replied, "No. We will need them in the future."
Confusion clouded their expressions, even Thomas, who usually stayed composed. Lisa, not one to stay quiet, piped up, "For what?"
But I cut off further discussion. "Enough talking. Let's go to a weapon store."
