Chapter 2 - Chapter 1

As Lucious and I were finishing the sparring match I managed to win just barely as I held the training sword to his neck he yielded as I smiled I began to help him up and we did our signature unison sign. "I almost had you this time Xion." "You just need to commit more when you're on the offensive but don't rely so much on heavy blows." "Yeah, you're right." That's when my father's advisor came to the training courtyard and asked for me and Lucious to join my father in the Great Hall.

"We'll be right there Volnder." "Do not keep his Majesty waiting long." I looked over at Luscious and saw him shaking all the color from his face drained of blood. "Hey, don't look so down everything's going to be fine." I said slapping his shoulder. "You know how scary your father is don't you?" "Please he's my father he wouldn't hurt a fly unless it tried to harm me or our Kingdom." I looked at him and got more serious. "What have you done?" "I-I'm sorry it's not my fault I was cohoursed into it." I slammed it against the tree and drew my blade. "I'll ask once more! What did you to my father!" "Prince Xion! It's your father! He's been poisoned!" I turned to the voice and saw it was Volnder. I quickly in a fury of anger spun back around and drew my curved dagger and sliced Lucious face and punched and then kicked him.

"You are hereby banished from ever setting foot into my kingdom and we are no longer best friends. I gripped the necklace that me and head maid Martha help me make and tore it off his neck. "You have exactly two seconds to get up and run away before I kill you where you lay." Lucious quickly hobbled away holding his sliced face as I turned back to the castle and made my way to my father's bed chambers. "Father! Father!"

As I entered my father's bed chambers I knelt to his side as he wheezed watching him breathe wealkly I began to cry that's when my father put a hand on my head and dried my tears. "M-My son I'm sorry for leaving you at such a tender age but I know you'll lead a kingdom worthy of the greatest of knights in history. But my time is short so I will bestow these last parting words. Lend me thy ear my son. I chuckled as he never used old English unless he was serious about something or even being goofy.

As I got closer to him he whispered in my ear and that's when realization hit me like a bull at full speed. I turned to Volnder as I began to feel sick as Martha came to my aid. "Prince Xion!" I whispered these words: "I'm fine Martha please you and your daughter Mari must pack a bag we leave tonight." "What are you saying?" "Just trust me. Have commoner Lynch and Farmer Jed have a wagon full of supplies ready for us." "I understand." As Martha and I began to walk past Volnder I could feel these demonic aura radiating off of Volnder.
