Chapter 47 - Logan (Edited)

"Persuading Logan might be better done through fists than conversation. Unfortunately, neither Eric nor I excel in physical confrontation," Charles remarked with a smile, glancing at Alex. "But you, with abilities, can handle it!"

"Charles, so you want me to be a punching bag," Alex quipped, smirking. "Well, meeting Logan does pique my interest. Let's go find him!"

With a grin, Charles and Alex left the underground base, heading towards Wolverine's whereabouts. Alex soared through the air, effortlessly absorbing kinetic energy and surpassing the speed of sound.

Touching down outside a quaint pub, Alex pushed open the door, entering the establishment. The ambiance was vintage, devoid of raucous heavy metal or frenetic dancing. The few patrons seemed mellow.

At the bar, a burly man in a brown jacket sat, engrossed in his own world. He lit a thick cigar, held a high-quality brandy, and seemed oblivious to the surroundings.

"Hey, Logan!" Alex called out, initiating the meeting.

Alex confidently approached the bar, tapping on it to get Logan's attention.

With a familiar growl, Logan grunted, "Fuck off!" – his trademark greeting.

"Oh" Alex raised an eyebrow, then clenched his fist, delivering a powerful blow to Logan's head. There was a resounding "BANG" as Logan was sent flying, crashing into the bar's wall, demolishing a row of tables and chairs.

"Politeness goes a long way, Logan! Not everyone can tolerate your temper," Alex remarked, smirking at the fallen Wolverine.

Logan, however, wasn't one to stay down. Roaring wildly, he leaped up like a frenzied animal, charging at Alex with unrestrained rage.

"Go to hell!" Logan's fists pounded relentlessly, crashing into Alex's head. But instead of dodging, Alex stood firm, absorbing the immense kinetic energy from Logan's punches.

"Do you prefer reasoning with fists? Well, so do I!" Alex chuckled, extending a finger and lightly flicking Wolverine's forehead, returning the absorbed power back to its source.

With a resounding "bang," Logan was knocked out once again.

"Oh..." Logan groaned, his eyes flushed with anger as he charged up for another attempt.

However, with just a flick of a finger, Alex effortlessly sent him flying again. Undeterred, Logan roared and charged, throwing punch after punch, only to be flicked away repeatedly by Alex.

After a series of futile attempts, Logan, realizing the futility, turned and decided to make a strategic retreat.

Realizing he couldn't win, Logan, not one to act foolishly, chose to run.

"Oh, you want to run away, well not on my watch"

Alex quipped, tossing a handful of banknotes to the perplexed tavern owner, who was contemplating calling the police. Taking advantage of the distraction, Alex swiftly exited the tavern.

"Hello, are you calling the police? What happened?" The officer asked the tavern owner.

"Uh… the wrong call!" The tavern owner quickly responded, eyeing the stack of banknotes in his hand. Without hesitation, he hung up the police call.

"Logan, our conversation isn't over yet!" Alex called out, chasing after Logan.

As they reached a corner, Logan abruptly turned around, snarling and launching a fist towards Alex, each hand adorned with three long bone spurs.

Simultaneously, a howl echoed behind Alex, and a massive figure descended from the sky, resembling a tiger pouncing on its prey. It was a robust man over two meters tall, with ten pointed fingers and elongated nails resembling a tiger's claws – Victor The Sabretooth.

The two brothers initiated a coordinated ambush, creating a desperate situation with a front and back attack.

"Haha, it's useless," Alex chuckled, swiftly kicking Sabretooth as he lunged forward.

Seizing the momentum, Alex spun and delivered a powerful punch to Logan's chest, sending him flying.

"Logan, run!" Victor yelled, realizing the two couldn't effectively team up.

Victor, acknowledging the situation, shouted at Logan to flee. With agile movements, Victor leaped up, using his hands and feet to scale the wall, swiftly making his escape.
