Chapter 162 - Doctor Doom

"Do you think you can beat me?" Sarcasm dripped from Victor's words as he spoke through his mask.

Empowered by the solar storm, Victor was now stronger than ever. His inflated ego matched his newfound strength.

"You can try," Alex said with a Alexk. It was amusing to him that someone had the audacity to provoke him. Didn't the guy in the live broadcast recognize him?

Although Victor had heard Alex's voice during the broadcast, he didn't actually see him. Despite numerous future reports, he was only vaguely familiar with Alex and didn't recall who he was.

If he had known better, he would have kept his distance rather than challenging Alex.

In an instant, Alex appeared right in front of Victor, slapped him hard, and sent him crashing to the ground.

If not for Alex's tendency to toy with his opponents, Victor would have been reduced to a pile of rubble with just that slap.

This was the terrifying power of a fifth-level Mutant.

"Boom!"

Victor was caught completely off guard, not expecting Alex to strike so swiftly. By the time he could react, he was already slammed to the ground.

"Do you think you are strong? Well think again" Alex said with a disdainful smile.

He knew Victor's strength well. This guy was definitely not the Doctor Destruction from the comics, but more likely from a movie. If he were really like Doctor Destruction from the comics, Alex would have taken a different approach.

Not that Doctor Doom isn't impressive—any comic fan knows that. But Doctor Doom and Doctor Destruction are very different; the comparison wasn't flattering for Victor.

"Shit!" Victor yelled, standing up. A blue electric light shot from his hand toward Alex. Alex didn't bother to dodge and let the electric light hit him directly, which only caused his clothes to flutter.

"Is this all you've got? Pathetic," Alex said, shaking his head. It was a shame Victor wasn't actually Doctor Destruction; otherwise, he might have been a worthy opponent. As it was, Victor didn't even pose a real threat.

"I won't let you down," Victor said, but before he could finish, the wooden wall in front of him shattered.

This change naturally attracted their attention. Alex turned his head and saw that he had transformed back into a stone man. The corners of Alex's mouth twitched upwards in a slight smile.

It seems that Ben has come to terms with his changes. He dragged Victor along without killing him. Could it be due to several reasons? Perhaps he wants to torture Victor and take his women. His heart is truly dark.

Additionally, Ben had promised him something but still wanted to escape? How could that be?!

When Ben arrived, he saw Victor, and his eyes flashed with anger. He flew straight up and knocked Victor, who had just been lifted from the ground by Alex, into the far wall.

Ben, observing Victor's flight, walked over quickly and smiled. "Are you okay?"

"It's fine," Alex replied with a slight smile. "It looks like you've accepted your power."

"Yes, that's right!" Ben said with a laugh. "I used to hate myself because of Debbie, but now I've come to terms with it."

Ben then turned to Reed and asked, "Reed , why are you just sitting there?"

Reed , who had just thawed from being frozen, said helplessly, "I just recovered from being frozen, man."

"Uh…" Ben pointed to himself. "Maybe you should have listened to me earlier."

"Ben! Watch out behind you!" Susan shouted urgently, having seen Victor already getting up.

Reacting to Susan's warning, Ben rushed over and embraced Victor. The impact from the stone man was unstoppable, and they crashed through the high-rise balcony, falling downward.

"Do you like going downstairs this way?" Alex asked, looking at the twenty-story building with a wry smile. This method of descending was pretty extreme.

Alex lived on the upper floors with Susan. He grabbed Reed with one hand and instantly teleported downstairs, faster than Victor and Ben could fall.

Victor's body was as hard as diamond, and Ben's skin was like granite. Even if the ground was dented, it didn't damage either of them.

The two of them stood up and quickly recovered. With a few punches, Victor sent Ben flying into a bus.

Such a commotion would definitely attract attention, and the police weren't going to ignore it. A police car pulled up, and the officers shouted, "Put your hands up and get out of the car!"

Victor's faint blue lightning flickered, and with a quick burst of lightning from his hand, he destroyed the police car. The surrounding police yelled, "Open fire!"

The bullets had no effect on Victor.
