Chapter 138 - The Horrors of Mutants

Stryker advanced toward Alex, his expression cold and his eyes brimming with intent to kill. As he approached, he spoke slowly, desperation evident in his voice, "This wasn't my plan. I intended to deal with Charles. Let me go, and I'll reveal the mastermind behind it all."

Watching from surveillance, Nick Fury's demeanor shifted, cold sweat dampening his back. He regretted deviating from the original plan. Dealing with Charles alone would have sufficed. Why provoke someone as formidable as Alex?

And what had that damn Jason done to enrage him to this extent? Fury wondered.

Observing Alex's terrifying power, Fury shook his head helplessly. He realized he had merely been a chess player, but Alex was the one who overturned the board, leaving him in a tragic position.

"The mastermind behind it? It doesn't matter! Have you forgotten the terror of Apocalypse? Today, I'll remind you of the horrors of mutants once more!" Alex's only concern was eliminating Stryker, indifferent to his pleas for information.

As for Jason, he was merely a pawn, following Stryker's orders.

But that didn't excuse Stryker's actions. Without his illusions, would any of this have happened?

"Die!" Alex uttered coldly, turning Stryker to ash with a flick of his fingers.

Though he considered it too easy a fate for Stryker, Alex's rage left no room for mercy. His priority now was to assert his dominance over these humans. Otherwise, he'd be seen as an easy target.

"Jason..." Alex's gaze bore into the culprit with murderous intent. It was all because of this bastard.

A drop of blood was extracted by Alex and cataloged in the system's inventory. Instantly, it augmented and assimilated Jason's gene into Alex's own.

Truth be told, Jason's abilities were incredibly potent, but he had become a mere tool, obeying orders and underutilizing his power.

Alex, however, was different. With Jason's illusionary prowess, Alex could fabricate memories at will and then use his formidable mental capabilities to supplant a person's original memories, achieving the utmost effectiveness in brainwashing.

Thus, Jason, now deemed useless by Alex's standards, was swiftly disposed of, his existence reduced to mere dust scattered in the wind.

While Jason's brain fluid had considerable potential for mind control, for Alex, who could master Jason's abilities to completely manipulate memories, it was deemed wasteful.

Despite having eliminated Stryker and Jason, Alex's fury still burned within him as he ascended into the air.

He could sense that everyone within the villa had been subjected to his hypnotic abilities while they were ensnared in his illusion. As they all aimed to eliminate Alex, those unaffected were swiftly hypnotized, ensuring they wouldn't interfere.

Upon confirming his woman's safety, Alex felt a surge of relief. A tempestuous magnetic storm erupted, and all metal within sight was roughly seized and levitated beneath Alex's feet.

Alex soared above the ground, his presence commanding and powerful. Everywhere he went, steel was drawn to him, coalescing into a colossal sword that grew larger and more formidable with each passing moment. The magnetic storm surrounding him continuously absorbed steel, reinforcing the sword's might.

With a nearly kilometer-long steel sword in hand, Alex made his way towards the White House in Washington.

He cared little for the puppeteers behind the scenes. His only goal was to hold accountable every lawmaker who had supported the plan. Then, he would establish a Mutant kingdom, carving out a domain solely for Mutants.

Initially, he had planned to wait for the Avengers' saga to unfold, defeating the Chitauri before embarking on nation-building. But now, the United States had forced his hand, compelling him to take the lead in shaping a Mutant nation.

Without teaching these individuals a lesson, they might think nuclear bombs were their only concern. In the perilous world of Marvel, humans were mere pawns.

As the steel sword traversed the skies above New York, it drew gasps of awe from onlookers. People snapped photos and shared them feverishly on social media platforms like Twitter.

Meanwhile, at the White House...

"Mr. President, you should evacuate. It's clear this Mutant is targeting the White House," the president's secretary urged.

"No! As the President of the United States, I refuse to cower before a Mutant threat! Didn't we pass the Sentinel plan? Let the Sentinels deal with him!" the President roared defiantly.

The secretary could only offer a helpless nod. How could he explain that Sentinels were utterly powerless against someone like Alex?
