Chapter 70 - Reunion

Having returned home, Luke spent his time sorting through the various herbs and magical items he had purchased that day. The majority of his acquisitions were herbs, which he intended to use in the refinement of potions starting from the next day. Today's shopping spree had proven lucrative, particularly the three bottles of compound potions sold at Borgin Bock's store, earning him a profit of 400 gold Galleons. While the ingredients for these potions cost less than three Galleons, the process was time-consuming.

Reflecting on the day's experiments, Luke had also tested the synergy between his Susanoo and Thunder Dragon Slayer magic.

The durability of the werewolf's body was impressive, enduring thunderbolt strikes, but it ultimately succumbed to Luke's attacks. Despite its appearance, the werewolf's actions revealed a darker truth. The viscous liquid on its mouth confirmed its predatory nature.

However, as Luke examined his arm, he noticed a slight enhancement in the range of the Thunder Scale after utilizing Dragon Power. Yet, the Thunder Scale did not manifest without intentional activation, and even his sharp teeth reverted to their normal state.

Contemplating this, Luke retrieved the lightning ball he had purchased. The arcing electricity surrounded it, causing a tingling sensation when touched. Intrigued, he considered the idea of consuming it.

As the embodiment of a Thunder Dragon, could he safely ingest electricity? Despite feeling a peculiar fullness after swallowing the arcing energy, Luke dismissed the idea of attempting to eat electricity directly from the socket, recognizing its inherent danger.

The two-week vacation passed swiftly, especially for Luke, who spent the time brewing potions. Over the break, he had crafted several pots of Skele-Gro, refining his technique and even improving the potion's taste by blending it with other herbs to introduce a sweet flavor. The efficacy of the potion had also been enhanced significantly.

Luke contemplated selling the formula to St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Injuries and Infections, recognizing the potential financial gain. After packing up, he adorned himself in a trench coat and scarf, locating the spatial coordinates set at the station. In an instant, he activated his power, ready to return to Hogwarts.

When Luke reappeared, he found himself in a hotel near the station. Pulling his luggage, he strolled towards the station when a voice called out to him.

"Have you had a great holiday, Luke?"

Recognizing the voice, Luke chuckled.

"Good morning, both of you. Have you received the card I gave you?"

"Of course, but we were traveling at the time, so we didn't have time to study it," Fred regretfully explained.

"We also have a present for you," George added with a smile.

"Great," Luke nodded, having received gifts from several people over the holidays.

The twins gave him fireworks, Harry and Ronald sent biographical books, and Hermione, who had already given her gift, handed him a somewhat peculiar scarf— the one he was wearing today.

Examining the twisted pattern, Luke could barely discern a lion.

"Your scarf... um, it's quite interesting," Fred remarked, noticing the peculiar accessory.

"Is this a puppy? So cute!" George added.

"It's a lion," Luke clarified, having deduced the design through the tail of the pattern.

"Okay, let's get in the car. We may be leaving in a while," Fred announced, leading the twins across the platform.

"You two go first; I'll wait for Hermione," Luke waved, bidding farewell to the twins.

After about ten minutes of waiting, Hermione arrived at the station with her luggage. Upon seeing her, Luke's eyes lit up.

Curly ponytails tied behind her head, a light-toned sweater, a black-toned short skirt, and the most noticeable feature—white stockings.

For flowers...

"Luke!" Hermione, not having seen each other for two weekends, ran over.

"Good morning, Hermione!" Luke greeted with a smile. Subconsciously, he held her hand, quickly releasing it after a momentary thought.

"It's okay, my parents are back," Hermione reassured, and they proceeded towards the train together.

After Hermione finished speaking in a low voice, she took Luke's hand and clasped it together.

When did Miss Granger become so bold?

Luke glanced at Hermione, bowing her head with a smile.

Still the same habit as before.

"Come on, the train will start soon."

.....

Before getting into the car, Luke picked up Hermione's luggage and walked inside the pillar, holding the girl's hand.

On the green-toned train platform, quite a few wizards were already parting with their families.

The two of them made their way to the end of the carriage with ease.

Because this area is usually undisturbed, considering the multitude of available spots ahead.

"Come in!"

After Luke stowed his luggage in the designated space, he whispered to Hermione.

Considering Luke's susceptibility to motion sickness, Hermione obediently took a seat on the same side.

At this moment, she noticed the scarf she had given to Luke.

"That scarf..."

"Did you make it?" Luke inquired.

Seeing Hermione nod, he smiled appreciatively. "I love it so much."

"By the way, I'll leave it to you when I get motion sickness." He whispered in Miss Hermione's ear.

"I know, I know…" She hurriedly pushed Luke away, her ears feeling ticklish and uncomfortable.

He really need to get this motion sickness in order. Luke pondered as the train began to move.
