Chapter 59 - Game

After finishing breakfast, the group headed to the Quidditch venue together. As they reached the door, Luke and Harry went their separate ways. Luke made his way to Slytherin's rest area to change into his Quidditch attire.

Slytherin's jersey was a green robe with silver accents, complete with special wrist guards to prevent injuries from the Quaffle. Malfoy, eager as the Seeker, was already in a hurry. Luke, in his captain role, calmly took a seat.

Flint, the captain, explained the tactics to the other players. The primary strategy was simple and direct—score goals at any cost, disregarding the opponent's potential injuries. Luke, however, found the tactics rather mundane and couldn't help yawning.

At ten o'clock in the morning, the game finally commenced. As both teams' players emerged, they effortlessly floated into the air, forming a solid formation. Luke, Flint, and an unfamiliar player named Rolle took the forefront as the vanguards for Slytherin. Facing Gryffindor's Chasers, Luke recognized only one—Angelina, Lee Jordan's dream lover.

The familiar twins were the beaters, playfully making a defiant move towards Luke. Wood, Gryffindor's captain, served as the defender, with Harry as the Seeker. Many acquaintances were on the field, including Wood, a passionate Quidditch enthusiast.

"Relax, take your time to score, and don't worry about anything!" Flint reminded Luke.

"Clear," Luke nodded.

"Okay, the players from both sides have entered the field. Let me look at Slytherin's team!" Lee Jordan, the Gryffindor commentator, provided an introduction with a touch of personal bias.

"Slytherin is still captained by Flint as Chaser, and the other Chasers are Luke Geralt and Rolle..."

"Now looking at Gryffindor, Wood is still the goalkeeper. This time, the Seeker has been replaced by the legendary Harry Potter!"

As Lee Jordan broadcasted the introduction of the teams, he couldn't resist throwing in a classic rumor. "Hey, I heard Luke seems to be dating Gryffindor's jack-of-all-trades, so Gryffindor has a big advantage!"

Luke glanced at him with an indifferent expression. Meanwhile, Hermione, sitting in the Gryffindor auditorium, felt the weight of many eyes on her. Subconsciously, she tucked her head into her scarf to shield herself from the gaze. Simultaneously, she shot a glare at Lee Jordan, the rumor spreader.

Heartbroken, the female students learned that their crush had a date with someone else. The atmosphere was subdued as the balls on the ground took flight, with the Golden Snitch disappearing instantly.

Luke, a Chaser, focused on maneuvering the Quaffles into Gryffindor's basket. His Dragon Slayer Crystal-enhanced vision allowed him to spot the Quaffle behind Angelina.

"Luke charges! Wait, why is he charging at Angelina!"

"Angelina, watch out for Luke! Watch out for the Quaffle behind you!" Lee Jordan's commentary disrupted the game.

"Lee Jordan, shut up!" Professor McGonagall reprimanded, disapproving of the enthusiastic commentary.

Luke, noticing the situation, changed his approach. "Angelina, here!" George called out, sending a Quaffle flying towards her. seizing the opportunity, Luke swiftly intercepted the Quaffle and tossed it to Fred with finesse.

"George, how did you lose the ball!" Fred complained, bewildered by the unexpected turn of events.

Scoring a goal, Luke shifted his focus to the other Quaffles. Meanwhile, Lee Jordan exclaimed, "It's the Golden Snitch! The Golden Snitch has appeared!"

Witnessing Malfoy and Harry engage in a fierce pursuit, Luke shouted at Malfoy, "Block Harry, it's your responsibility!"

The game intensified, with Luke and Flint's collaboration leading Slytherin to a dominating lead of 120:0 against Gryffindor. Snape observed with satisfaction, foreseeing another year of Slytherin's Quidditch supremacy.

Despite Professor Quirrell's presence, his arm in a cast, he remained subdued without disruptive behavior. Malfoy, tasked with holding Harry back, showed no interest in chasing the Golden Snitch.

Under Luke's relentless attacks, Fred and George hesitated to swing their bats, as every Quaffle shot ended up in Luke's hands.

Luke sealed the victory, smiling as he threw the last Quaffle into the basket, securing Slytherin's consecutive Quidditch championship.

As Harry glared at Malfoy, who obstructed him throughout the game, he realized that Luke's gift had yet to be used.

A mischievous idea formed in Harry's mind as Malfoy smirked confidently.

In this Quidditch match, Slytherin emerged victorious once again, much to the dismay of Gryffindor. Sitting in the Gryffindor auditorium, Hermione couldn't help squeezing her little hand as she watched Lukes's captivating performance. His prowess on the field stole the audience's attention, overshadowing even Malfoy and Harry, who were engaged in an intense chase throughout the game. Malfoy's steady performance as Slytherin's Seeker prevented Harry from finding an opportunity to approach the Snitch.

As the match concluded, Gryffindor watched with unwilling gazes as Slytherin celebrated their triumph. In the Quidditch locker room, amidst the cheers of the players, Luke removed his armor and changed back into his wizard's robe.

"Luke, there's a Gryffindor girl looking for you outside," Rolle, another Chaser, suddenly shouted, capturing everyone's attention.

It turned out that Lee Jordan's rumor wasn't a lie.

"I see," Luke replied nonchalantly, taking his wand and stepping out.
