On the edge of the enchanting Black Lake, the golden sunlight played peek-a-boo through thin clouds, casting shadows on the lush green grass swaying gently in the breeze. A picturesque setting for what seemed to be a perfect day.
But the tranquility was soon disrupted by Hermione's frustrated exclamation, "Ah, Luke, I can't control it!! It's going to fly away! Please help.."
Luke, swiftly intervened as he saw Hermione struggling to control her broomstick. With a deft wave of his wand, he cast a spell to halt the unruly broom mid-air.
The broom, yearning for the sky, obediently settled down, and Hermione, who had been gripping it tightly, heaved a sigh of relief. "Thanks Luke but it's so hard, I can't control it at all!" she lamented, frustration etched on her face.
For Hermione, mastering the broom was proving to be a challenge, a rare occurrence. It was the first time since entering Hogwarts that she encountered something she couldn't easily conquer.
Luke, responded, "It's a matter of pratice, you will get better with time."
Hermione, acknowledged, "Maybe... But I don't think I will get as good as you."
As the impromptu flying lesson continued, Luke took charge of coaching while Hermione became the brave pilot.
"Okay, let's learn slowly," he encouraged, holding Hermione's broom, ready to demonstrate.
As the broom lifted off the ground under Luke's guidance, he couldn't hide the comfort he felt. Flying wasn't his favorite activity but right now it made him from like a fish in the water. Maybe it was due to the powers he possessed, specifically the dragon-slayer magic power coursing through his veins. He made a mental note to look into it later.
After a brief flight, he landed in front of Hermione.
"What does the flow of magic feel like?" she inquired, struggling to grasp the ethereal sensation.
"Find out for yourself first," he suggested, watching Hermione practice once more.
However, as he observed her attempts, Luke couldn't shake off a faint sense of longing that he'd experienced while flying.
The mischievous duo, George and Fred, suddenly materialized before Luke, their playful grins in tow. Luke, with a warm smile, greeted them, acknowledging the familiarity they shared.
However, their banter was interrupted by a boisterous shout. Hermione, on a broomstick, was hurtling towards them. With quick reflexes, Luke swiftly moved, embracing Hermione and tumbling onto the grass to avoid a collision.
As the dust settled, Fred and George approached, commending Luke's heroic save. Impressed by the spectacle, they couldn't help but express their admiration. "Man, you were so cool just now!" they exclaimed, reveling in the unexpected excitement.
The twins, never missing an opportunity, seized the moment to extend an invitation to Luke. "By the way, Luke, do you want to join our prank shop?" George eagerly proposed. The prospect of Luke joining their venture filled them with excitement, envisioning him as a valuable addition.
In their pitch, Fred proudly presented a packet of "quick-acting escaping candy," prompting a skeptical response from Hermione, the studious witch. Luke, however, saw potential in the mischief. "I will join you guys and also invest 100 gold Galleons," he declared, surprising the twins with his commitment.
The revelation left Fred and George wide-eyed and speechless. Luke, undeterred, justified his offer, mentioning his remaining funds after the holiday expenses. The twins, realizing the magnitude of the investment, eagerly accepted, recognizing the significant contribution.
With a touch of humor, Luke concluded the exchange, asking about the game.
