I said looking at Barbara, she smirked and then two other maids walked up to me and pulled my hair, I was taken as this never happened in the part of the palace I had previously worked in.
I felt the pain in my scalp, but that was before my back collided with the wall behind me, I winced in pain.
My back was already hurting from the first fall and now it was worse. I don't think I would be able to stand straight.
I gritted my teeth and stood up "I don't know what you are talking about and that's final, but believe what you want", I said and wanted to walk away.
They blocked my part and Barbara stretched out her hand to hit me just then the butler came into the kitchen "what are you four doing over there, stop dilly-dallying and get to work" he said.
I wanted to tell him what was actually going on here, but the way he looked at me told me I wouldn't get the justice I wanted, and they'll probably use it as an avenue to punish me and make my life more miserable.
I turned back to the stack of plates I had to finish this before evening, as I had to clean the king's Chambers again today, and I sure wasn't going to clean his room again for fear of my life.
I had arrived at the camp in the Eastern border where some of my men had been assigned to watch. I walked towards the divider and the commander in charge walked towards me and Philip.
He offered his greetings which I half listened to and half did not. He began the briefing on what exactly happened that turned the village to a camp site.
"So the witches were here and they used dark magic", I said earning a yes from the commander. "if that's so then they'll won't leave, yet, after ensuring a victory against my people", I said.
I turned around "Philip let's your around the neighbouring villages" I said and began walking with Phillip following behind I was sure they hadn't left yet, they were around celebrating their victory over one of my regimens.
I definitely wouldn't let them return to their master, I'll make them regret coming and attacking my territory.
We hadn't walked much when my senses picked up movement, Phillip sensed it too.
We began running towards the source of the movement, we vampires were very fast and and we got there quickly.
We got to a small camp of women and few men, they weren't humans and with their arrangements I could say they were the ones who attacked the Eastern border.
I smiled and immediately lunged at them attacking, Philip was also attacking them. We made quick work of them.
I could tell that this wasn't all of them as the count of them did not match the number of camps set up.
I sniffed the air and found traces of magic I followed it and Phillip followed behind me and soon we saw a group of four witches.
I was sure they lead this group. I clapped my hands to get their attention and smiled. "What a lovely gathering" I said when they turned to me.
"King Rexxon, what a lovely meeting" a witch with green eyes said "It would have been a lovely meeting if I wasn't planning on killing you three" I said having a look of concern.
"You can try" the same witch said I was sure they had the help of someone and didn't expect what happened next.
