Nate says "Hay, I'm just calling it what it is. Fine, I'll apologize if no one beats me up, in just this 1 month there's been a lot of beating up's and it's starting to affect my brain" And Tyler thinks to himself well that's already affected" and Nate goes to the cafeteria lady and tries to say sorry but he realizes something "I forgot the word I wanted to say" which was sorry and this happens for 3 days straight and all of them go with him to make shore he doesn't forget and he apologizes. The cafeteria lady tells them that it's to late now and they all crawl on their knees to ask for forgiveness because they were really hungry and didn't have time to make their own lunches. Helen agrees to forgive them but on one condition. Tyler says "I can't believe we have to wash the dishes" And Chuck says "I can't believe this is what we eat" And after that they still beat Nate up but hold back a bit because he's their friend and because they're afraid of giving him amnesia
