Chapter 4 - Stucked

Leon opened his eyes because of a strange sensation on his scalp, only to meet the expressionless gaze of a seagull. He immediately cried out in fear and straightened up, panicked when he realized that his main fin was gone, only to leave two repulsive appendages that struggled to stay stable and support the weight of his body. If Krasics were here, he'd surely be laughing at the look on his face right now, somewhere between disgust and fear as he stared at his new lower limbs, and the kind of little worms clinging to them, at namely toes. Leon looked at the bird which had long since flown away and which had landed several meters away, moving on its two legs on the sand, this allowed him to know roughly how the two limbs worked, he did his best to advance step by step while imitating the bird, using the little strength it had left to reach the sea.

When he finally got there, after much effort, he threw himself into it completely, enjoying the gentle caress of the salt water on his skin. On his neck, just behind each of his ears, gills dilated, allowing him to breathe in the water. Only he made a terrible observation, his tail was not coming back and he had absolutely no idea where he was or how to get home, he was fine in the water but at the same time he had the impression that he was not there. While he was in full panic he remembered how his trip had gone and how he had managed to find himself in this mess. First he had asked his lifelong friend, Krasics, to take him with him to see the world of the terrestrials, the latter had accepted. Then he had taken him to the gates and had spent long minutes during which he had tried to make the young prince understand how they worked, a prince who of course had not listened to his friend as usual.

Leon panicked, realizing that not only had he not listened to his friend's explanations, but also that he hadn't taken the trouble to properly observe the whole process that had led him to find himself at the surface because of course, it was not enough to simply swim to dry land. The marine kingdom was actually in the water but in a dimension very different from that of humans, otherwise they would have been discovered a long time ago and what they called doors were actually a passage that allowed them to visit the human world.

Leon came back to the surface, his face downcast when he realized what a catastrophic situation he was in. Alone and vulnerable in a world in which he knew absolutely nothing, he had never visited the surface, after all he was the jewel of his family, the only one to have inherited the "song" for centuries and one of the rare breeding males from royal lineage, it was unthinkable that his father would let him out of the palace to have fun with humans. Indeed their people saw their number dangerously reduced over the centuries, the females had more and more difficulty getting pregnant and those who arrived there struggled to carry them to term, so they were kept safe almost even imprisoned, and males like Leon who were able to carry life shared the same fate, so had been his childhood. And that was why he had found himself betrothed to his childhood friend, a strong male who could allow Leon to give birth to first-rate offspring, a future elite of the kingdom.

Of course Leon had no objection to being with a male, not because his fertile nature forbade him from being with a female anyway, but above all because he appreciated the strong and broad torsos of male warriors. , he was salivating at their steely musculature, the problem was Krazics, or rather the fact that Leon felt absolutely no desire for his best friend, even if he was rather well beaten. But for him, he was more of a brother than anything else, he was a confidant, a loyal friend with whom he had done the four hundred blows, and not a male with whom to copulate and have babies, but he had no the choice.

Once on the surface, he swam towards the edge, emerging again from the water to return to dry land again. He observed his surroundings, there was sand, of course, but also bits of branches, birds, and strange objects lying around on the fine sand. In the distance he saw a kind of small palace, he decided to go there because he couldn't decently stay outside like that, his body totally exposed to the dangerous animal from earlier who could still attack him.

The walk home was hard on him, his new members had never walked before and they found it hard to bear his weight, plus bits of glass on the sand hurt the fragile soles of his feet like those of a newborn. In addition he had to climb the few steps that led him to the bay window of the house, he was happy when it opened when he pulled on it because he was exhausted, he was hungry, his feet hurt and his head was spinning. He managed to take a few more steps into the odd room before he collapsed off the floor, once again falling unconscious.
