"Alvin, how could you do this? Our family's only hope right now is you. If you don't help, what will happen to Issac?" Mr. Rowlett's face darkened. "Issac is your own brother. Can you really bear to see him suffer?"
Aria clenched her fists, staring at the couple in front of her who were nominally her parents. All she felt was strangeness and alienation.
These were her biological parents.
She pursed her lips in silence for a moment, curled up the corners of her mouth, and mocked, "Issac is my own brother, so I must help, even if he owes someone ten million dollars, I have to find a way to help him repay it."
"He's your beloved son, so you can't bear to see him suffer at all. But what about me?"
