Cody Aberton was waiting for Joanna Lawrence in the hall.
However, he didn't expect to see Rebecca Kelloway before Joanna arrived.
Upon seeing Rebecca, Cody couldn't help but be surprised: "Ms. Kelloway, what brings you here?"
Rebecca's smug smile barely lasted three seconds before it froze on her face.
She immediately sensed the underlying meaning of Cody's words.
Obviously, Cody wasn't waiting here for her.
He didn't even know she was coming.
Before coming, Rebecca had sent a message to Ashton Heath, but he claimed to be too busy to see her.
Nevertheless, Rebecca came anyway.
Seeing Cody earlier, she thought though Ashton said he was busy, he didn't really mind her coming, and even asked Cody to wait for her.
She was proven wrong so quickly, and it made her somewhat embarrassed.
