Aria was a classic bully showing off the power of Ashton Heath. She pointed at him and said, "My heartthrob is here. If you dare to touch me, I'm sure Ashton will have someone beat you up until you lose your teeth."
For the sake of Joanna's friendship, Ashton played along.
