Evan was happy to have Hyo with him in the gym. It was refreshing to have someone who knew Chinese martial arts as well as him. And he finally had someone besides Zara who was able to push him as an equal thanks to his Super human status.
Zoey was getting closer to evolving again, Evan could feel it, but he wasn't sure what would allow her to do so.
But it has been a week since their last match, and they were pushing their limits to reach Regionals. Evan checked his recent growth and the state of his abilities now. Not to mention his current savings since he had Thomas turn in another few lotto tickets to help him with saving up for his new skills he had in mind.

Evan knew he had improved a lot. When he adds the stats together with the bonus stats he was actually in Enhanced to Superhuman levels! But he knew he had a lot more left to grow. Other wise he may just become complacent. Which would be murder to their chances of winning the entire tournament. So with his 782k in the bank he browsed the skills to purchase and came to a conclusion that he would upgrade a few key skills that might just save his life in the tournament.

Feeling his body adjust and evolve again as he sat on his bed Evan flexed his whole body to feel it and noticed his skin did feel slightly thicker. It was still soft like human skin, but when he stuck it with a karate chop it seemed to stiffen up and become thicker on the point of contact. He grinned at this now knowing this is a good adaptation that would make it harder for others to notice.
He then grew excited at how high his limits became from the Saiyan influence. One more evolution of his race and he will have a new limit of over 2000! he can only imagine how strong he would be if he was really in the dragonball universe. But those question can be for later once he has actually reached the Saiyan stat ranges.
He gets up from his bed as he goes to grab dinner when a text message comes in to him from Derricks phone. He opens it up while noticing it is a question.
Derrick?: You alone man?
Evan: Yeah? Why?
Derrick?: Good, you listen up. We have your friend Derrick, so either you come to the warehouse in the docks district called warehouse 16, or well, you'll see.
Evan opens up a picture they sent him, and he gasps with anger at seeing his friend Derrick cuffed to a chair and beaten to a bloody pulp. He had a tooth missing, his eyes were swollen shut, his shirt and pants were torn from the beatings he endured, he had dark purple bruises all over, and what seemed to be 3 fingers broken.
Evan nearly crushed his phone until he saw the next message.
Not Derrick: So... care to try and save him? After all we don't mind making it to where he can never walk again. We still owe you for what you did to our friends at that ATM stop all those weeks ago.
Evans blood turns to ice at that reminder. 'Shit! They are connected to a gang! This must be the work of the girl and muscles since mohawk is still in prison according to Zara! Damn it!'
He texts back, "What are the limitations of me coming to save him? I'm guessing no cops?"
Not Derrick: Very perceptive! Yes no cops. And you are only allowed to bring a maximum of 4 people with you! Choose carefully! You have 2 hours to show up. Be ready.
Evan goes to text back but only gets a message in the way of.

Cursing up a storm Evan then rushes to the gym to see who is available to help him save Derrick. He knew he might be able to manage it alone, but he wouldn't gamble on a good friends life. He reaches the gym cafeteria and smiles widely at seeing a group he knew would help him out.
In only an hour Evan stood in front of Warehouse 16 with his group of fighters ready.
Zoey stood ready i her wrestling outfit of a sports tank top with bra underneath.
Zara had her sparring pads on her forearm guards and shin guards ready with her muay thai shorts and her fighters braids back in action. Her compression short sleeved shirt was ready. And she had a smirk as if a plan was in action behind the scenes.
Hyo was ready in his shaolin kung fu combat robes with his combat gauntlets that are honed iron under his sleeves to protect his arms ready.
And Thomas with his boxer shorts, shoes, and his gloves ready on his hands. His chest was covered in a tank top as well.
The group knocked on the door and it was opened by a pair of muscular and powerful looking Russian gangsters. They welcomed in the group as Evan walked into the middle of the highlighted floor with his long combat sweats, tight fitting sparring sneakers, and his compression t shirt on. He glared at the group ahead of their group and saw the missing eternal reserve members standing behind the Russian punk girl from that night and a man so big Fuji might have had a brother. They grin at their approach and show a light on a now somewhat bandaged Derrick as he is still in the chair unconscious from his injuries.
The girl opens up and says, "Greetings Evan! I hope you like the arena we have prepared for you! And your friends! For we will make sure you don't leave it so easily! This is for putting me in jail! Prepare to be beaten until you nearly die!"
Her brother steps forward and Zara gasps at recognizing him as the final eternal reserve member, "YURI! How could you!"
Yuri comes out with his full 6ft 8inches build and so many muscles he actually matches Fuji in build. But with an underlying skill in that bulk. He grins maliciously and says, "Greetings leader Zara! I am not impressed with who replaced me in the team and as the man who was after your heart! What made you choose him over me?"
Zara grits her teeth and Evan and the others kept a cool glare on the other fighters and gang members around them, "Well for one thing, he wasn't part of a gang, and he didn't take pleasure in beating his opponents to near death every fight! Every tournament you fought in you nearly killed your foe! You had been banned after the 5th time Yuri! I couldn't date someone who doesn't treasure life!"
Yuri chuckles evilly as he says, "Oh! But I do treasure life! After all! it is such a treasure to see the light in my opponents eyes drain out as you crush that key organ keeping them alive! Like life is a treasure that you control! SO be ready!"
Everyone prepares to fight and Evan stops them with a, "Wait!... Yuri... I'm guessing you led us here to prove who is stronger? Then let's fight and see who is better."
Yuri chuckles as Evan guessed it and yelled out in Russian to the gang members, who quickly followed the orders and set up an arena out of boxes and some chain link fences they had nearby.
With the ring set up, Thomas comes out first to see Naoki come out, but this time Naoki is covered in scars and has a murderous look in his eyes as he glares down Thomas. Evan gulps as he sees that Noaki's level had skyrocketed to level 27. Thomas was barely level 22. This wouldn't be easy. With his new build and scars Evan can guess that he had endured some real training that brought his impressive skills to new heights.
The fights ahead would be taxing, but they only needed to last until Zara's plan comes to fruition, so for now. The groups fight.
