In the village near the farm there was someone standing and staring at the sword he was holding, it was Carlon who looked gloomy and weak after hearing the information from the village chief. A bundle of memories popped up in his mind and recalled the past he couldn't forget, 26 years ago when the village was attacked by the same creature he found in the forest, a child who saw his parents burning alive before his eyes.
'FATHER! MOTHER!' the child screamed for his parents but his voice could not reach them, he was Carlon who was 6 years old.
But Carlon was suddenly picked up and taken away by someone with black hair and red eyes who took him to the evacuation area for residents.
'FATHER! MOTHER! THEY'RE BOTH STILL THERE!' Carlon's voice shook and tears rolled down his face as he sees the creature that destroyed the village.
'SORRY.. BUT THEY CANNOT BE SAVED, THE IMPORTANT THING IS YOU MUST BE SAVED FOR SURE THAT'S ALSO WHAT THEY WANT.' The man shouted to Carlon and ran as fast as he could to the evacuation area of the residents.
'Hah.. hah... stay.. here..' The man panted as he pushed a large rock next to him and tightly closed the cave door.
'...uncle... UNCLE!' Suddenly the collection of memories collapsed and he heard a voice that was slowly getting bigger calling him making him wake up from those memories.
'?!' Carlon opened his eyes and his breath was messy due to his consciousness suddenly awakening from that memory.
'Uncle, it's me Naku' He saw a child with black hair and red eyes like that person.
'Oh.. Naku, what's wrong..?' Carlon smiled slowly even though his face was covered in sweat.
'Look at that.' Naku pointed at the huge wolf corpse right beside them.
'..?! What's this..? did you hunt this?' Carlon was shocked by what he saw with his eyes, even though he didn't want to believe what he saw, it felt very real to him.
'Yes.. I found it in the forest, he suddenly attacked the two children who were gathering plants that I didn't know about so I immediately jumped to save them and fought the wolf' Naku grinned.
'This is... Deep Wolf Forest, this wolf is difficult to hunt because of its abnormal movement... how did you do it?' Carlon looked at Naku and narrowed his eyes like he couldn't believe what Naku was doing.
'Well.. I use mana.' Naku answered casually while twirling his scythe.
'MANA?! you can use it already?!' Carlon held Naku's shoulder and his eyes widened in shock at the words he said.
'Uh.. yeah... why?' Naku was confused by Carlon's reaction.
'Don't tell me... you learned to use it after watching me do it?' Carlon looked at Naku more closely.
'Yes, how come uncle knows.' Naku answered with a giggle.
'Try to repeat what you did..' Carlon released Naku's shoulder and looked at him.
'Well.. it's easy, like this right?' Naku held his scythe and tried to channel his mana into it, but nothing happened.
'Uh..?' Naku stared at his scythe and was confused.
Carlon facepalmed and shook his head after seeing Naku do that.
'Naku.. using mana isn't as easy as you think you know..?' Carlon laughed at Naku.
'But I just used it earlier?' Naku glanced at Carlon and was annoyed at being laughed at.
'So... to use mana you have to at least be able to feel the mana clearly and precisely in order to channel it.' Carlon explained while holding back his laughter.
'Hm.. then uncle teach me.' Naku frowned and looked at Carlon.
'Hah...?' Carlon's laughter broke and he stared at him silently.
'Eh.. me?' Carlon looked at Naku not believing what he just said.
