He was falling apart. He could feel every bit of his essence being ripped out of his very being. The deafening booms of the Heavenly Realm rang in his ears. All he could see were blinding flashes of the destruction happening around him. He could barely make a move to stop himself from the fall he was currently going through. All he felt was unimaginable pain. The kind of pain that disrupted any form of coherence.
How had it gotten to this?

Bit by bit. He could feel himself fading.
Like the pillars that had collapsed, like the gods that had fallen, he too would soon follow.
But then again...
It couldn't end like this. All those lives. All of the realms at stake. The betrayal still stung. He hadn't expected it. Noone had. But isn't this what made it so crushing? The fact that it came from the least expected individuals.
