Lin Feng was heading towards the Thunderclap City. This city was situated at the east of Voidgate city. It usually took 3 to 4 days to reach Thunderclap City. However, by using magic Lin Feng planned to shorten the time.
After casting «Gale Steps» and «Increase Speed» on himself, Lin Feng started running towards eastern gate of Voidgate city. When he was a few meters away from the gate Lin Feng cast the Tier 1 Space Magic «Blink». He immediately teleported a few meters outside the gate and continued running at superhuman speed. The guards who were half asleep did not notice Lin Feng leaving.
After leaving the city Lin Feng opened the map function to continue. The system had routed a safe path for Lin Feng to avoid any obstacles. Lin Feng continued casting magic while running but after a while he stopped to rest.
Even with the Cloak's ability to recover mana this was an exhausting task for Lin Feng. He was currently resting under a tree in a forest while on the look out for any demonic beasts when he saw two people arriving.
One was a short but bald man while the other was a tall but lanky. They approached Lin Feng with a greedy expression on their face.
"Say fellow traveler. Where are you going?" The tall fellow asked Lin Feng.
"Thunderclap City." Lin Feng calmly replied.
Since Lin Feng was wearing a mask, they were unable to determine whether he was young or old or whether he was a male or a female that is why they were on guard.
"What a coincidence. We are headed that way too." The tall man told Lin Feng while being unable to hide his greed.
"At least try to hide your intentions properly." Lin Feng mockingly told the duo.
The two of the looked at each other and grinned.
"It seems you are not a nobody." The short guy finally spoke.
"Do you know who my brother works for? The Goldmonger. Now if you value your life hand over everything." The tall guy told Lin Feng while pointing towards the short guy.
Lin Feng had heard of the Goldmonger. He was a bandit in the Archmage realm who was active in the areas between Voidgate city, Thunderclap city and Vermillion city.
The Goldmonger was extremely cunning and ruthless which is why he had managed to evade the experts of the three cities and the Empire for so long.
However, Lin Feng was not some coward. He calmly got up and faced the two and cast magic. He first double casted the Tier 1 Ice Magic «Frost Bind». Under the feet of the two men ice appeared and froze their feet on place. The two bandits got scared and were about say something but Lin Feng had already double casted the Tier 1 Earth Magic «Rock Bullet». Two rocks the size of marbles and shaped like tip of an arrow, flew towards the two men and shot their faces. Both of them died on the spot.
Lin Feng had learned from his mistake in the past. This time he did not use any flashy or AOE magic to kill them. He also used the Tier 2 Space Magic «Minor Pocket» to store their bodies. Lin Feng then started running again after casting magic.
That night Lin Feng reached Thunderclap City.
