I took a deep breath, trying to process Cavin's words. It was true; Nick had always appreciated my eccentricity and embraced my quirks. But now, faced with the prospect of revealing my true self to others, doubts began to creep in. Was I ready to let go of the mask I had worn for so long? Would anyone truly accept me for who I am, my flaws and all? The fear of rejection gnawed at me, making me question whether it was worth taking the risk. But then again, what did I have to lose? I was only here to get Nick, and that was it.
"Oh my gosh!" Frivo came in the door, his face lit up with awe. "You do not disappoint, my darling. My work looked extravagant on you, ten times more than I had expected," he exclaimed, unable to contain his enthusiasm.
"Thank you," I said with a smile, feeling a sense of relief and validation. It was reassuring to know that someone appreciated and recognized the effort I had put into my appearance.
