A strong slap woke me, and I found myself lying face down on the cold, hard floor of a dimly lit room. The air smelled strongly of disinfectant. I had a headache, and my eyes felt heavy with sleep. It took a moment for them to adjust to the darkness, but they eventually did, allowing me to see where I was.

It looked as though the only illumination came from several small windows that lined one side of the walls of the building we were in—a basement, judging by the smell and structure. Whatever time of day or night it was,  I had no idea how long I'd been unconscious.

"N...Nick, I called to the emptiness, hoping he'd answer back as I tried to stand up, but I failed to do so when I realized that my hands were bound together behind my back with some kind of rope as well as my feet. 

"F*k! Where am I?" I mumbled with heavy breaths as I tried to untangle myself from the rope, struggling to free myself from its grasp.
