The cold breeze blew across the forest as it started to grow dark and dreary, making it impossible to trace any track to get back to my mother's house. It had been hours since we drifted lost in the woods, trying to follow the same path as our home when the sun was set. The trees loomed above us like huge, black giants that were blocking out what little light was still left in the sky.
"Dumbshit! We are lost!" Nick cried out in a panicked voice. "What do we do?"
"Shut up, useless crap! You'll disturb wild animals around that may cause us death because of your lame weeps!" I hissed, trying hard to calm myself down.
This was the reason I could not get Cavin out of my life; without GPS or any technological ways to find my route, I am useless as this lame person trembling beside me.
"You planned this all along to get me lost in the woods where nobody knew where the location was and pretend that it was all an accident!" Nick blabbered, looking around like his sanity had just left him.
Such a weak person!
"SHUT UP! SHUT UP!" I screamed at him, grabbing him by his shoulder to hold him down and calm him down, but his eyes bulged from fear, his face turned white, and his body trembled so much that I thought I'd snap his arm off with how tightly I gripped it.
I scanned his face and his reactions; automatically, I knew he was suffering from mild hypothermia. His pupils were dilated, his breathing was faster than usual as I checked his pulse rate, his lips were pale as his teeth chattered, and he could barely stand on his own two feet.
"Not again!" I exhaled in dismay at how this man turned out to be so weak. I tried to scan for a good place to take shelter to make him warm, and gladly, I saw a small, closed area between two trees with enough space to lay him down without worrying about the rain, just until Cavin realized I needed to be searched.
"Come here," I muttered, grabbing him by his shoulders to make sure he wouldn't fall on his side when I took him into my arms. He looked up at me with wide, terrified eyes and tried to protest by shaking his head, but failed miserably as he leaned against me more heavily. His shivering intensified. His breaths came out short and heavy. "Come on!"
I dragged him forcefully to the shallow space where the tree branch hung low enough that it could contribute to keeping us warm and keeping the fire from dying out due to the strong wind swirling the forest floors throughout the night.
"Stay for a while; I'll just do some cleaning before you lie down!" I instructed him before gently leaning him to the trunk of the tree. There could be insects everywhere, and risking him being bitten by anything in here would just result in more serious consequences; he could not be brought out until he was proven guilty.
I quickly swept the dried leaves using a fallen branch, stacked greener leaves from the branches hanging lower so when he lay down, his back would be isolated from the cold ground, and picked up fallen sticks around the perimeter to set a fire, but I was not surprised when Nick fell on his knees and tried to crawl towards me.
"How can you be so stupid?" I hissed, marching towards him and picking him up by his legs. "Killing you at this rate was like eating ice cream; it'll be scrumptiously satisfying. I wouldn't even waste a sweat."
I grunted as I dragged his almost lifeless body towards the space I prepared to let him rest and warm him up. "You...are...heavy!" I complained as I almost stumbled down just to get him on the spot.
Sweat started to drip from my forehead as I exerted my strength to position him and immediately grabbed some sticks to make a fire. However, after minutes of attempting, I slaughtered the sticks and threw them away, completely surrendering in total disappointment. I only knew how to survive in shootouts, not in the wild. I wiped my brow with the sleeve of my shirt before turning toward Nick, who was completely passed out on the ground now.
His face was pale and clammy, and he wasn't sweating anymore. Even his breathing was slower, and his heart rate seemed lower. His skin was getting paler too, if that was even possible. His cheeks weren't red, though; they didn't even have the slightest hint of pinkness. He was exposed to water for a long time, and people like him who had weak stamina would surely experience hypothermia.
"Hold on, I'll look for something to get you warm."
"Can't you just use your most effective technique?" he mumbled suddenly, which made my brows furrow in annoyance while his eyes remained shut.
"And you had to tell me that now?" I barked at him to wake his senses up. "I am not kissing you anymore! You are to die on your own because you chose to be weak!" I exclaimed and was about to march away from him when he weakly reached for something in his pocket, and my eyes widened when I saw him pull out a lighter.
"This could help?" he smiled weakly with his chapped lips.
The heat of rage shot up in my head. I wanted to destroy him right there and now. "You had this all along?"
"That is why I tried to use my last strength to get to you because I could no longer shout!"
I snapped my eyes at him and proceeded to light up the pile of dried sticks to give him heat.
"Do not try to talk; I'll handle everything," I told him as he watched the flames dance wildly, making him shudder. I could see in his glazed eyes that he was fighting to stay conscious. I rolled my eyes at him, not in anger but in pity. My anger evaporated like smoke, giving way to despair instead.
"How pathetic... how f*cking pathetic..." I mumbled as I sighed deeply and placed myself next to him, letting out the breath I did not realize I was holding.
I removed his damp cloth, as did mine, and wrapped him in a tight embrace while rubbing his upper back roughly to hasten the temperature buildup, going back and forth to his chest as the flames danced around us.
"You know, you can do anything you want with me now; I'm fightless! Don't worry, I won't mind. I realized I do not want to die a virgin!" he whispered weakly. His breath brought tingles to my neck, where he buried his face while he shivered slowly. His back turned at the fire I made, and it was helping.
"Shut up or I'll kill you!" I snarled at him, pulling away from his hug for the time being and staring down at him.
"I'm serious!" he stared back at me.
"I am too. So shut up and..." I hissed at him; however, my words were interrupted when this craphead changed his facial expression into something like a seductive gesture before moving fast on top of me, straddling my hips between his legs.
"I...want..."
"Shut up! Move back to where you came, or I'll break every bone."
"You shut up!" He hissed erratically; his eyes were hazy. He pinned both of my arms over my head, trapping them on either side of my head as he leaned over me, pressing himself against me as he held both hands over my wrists.
"Go away from this instance, or else I might end up killing you!"
"Why would you always say that then you'll come rushing to save me? It's wrecking my sanity! You are making me crazy! Tell me you hate me, then hate me! That's being polite! Not telling me you hate me, but you want me to want you!" Nick blurted out, and my breathing quickened at his words. My mouth slightly opened as I struggled hard to push myself away from him. My heartbeat became irregular with the fact that his mouth was right close to mine and grew more erratic under him.
I could feel my insides churn, but somehow my mouth managed to open in defiance. Although I had no energy to say anything, my body refused to obey my words and remained quiet despite my protests. My voice seemed to be swallowed up in that moment. I was unable to utter a single syllable.
Nick kept staring at me for a few seconds with that crazed, dazed look in his eyes that gave way to pure terror when he caught a glimpse of my tears. "I want you, Heurue!" He sniffled as he wiped my single tear.
My body quivered with his touch as my mind surrendered to the fear I had been brushing off for a while now. This was not me longing for William anymore; it was me wanting Nick to want me back.
"F-ck this!" I gasped as he let loose of my hands and moved forward to kiss me fervently, and then I found myself lost in the passion that had been building inside me that I wanted to forget everything—every pain, every doubt that clouded my thought process—and just entertain those feelings.
The world became a little blurry around me, and soon enough, my brain went numb when his mouth devoured mine, his hot breaths hitting my nose, and his fingers traced my jaw. My mind was already gone, my entire body relaxing as he kissed me intensely, his hands resting behind my neck with his fingers intertwined in my hair. The sensation was overwhelming. It was everything and nothing I ever imagined it could be, yet it was so much more than that.
I felt his body warming up as my fingertips wandered his bare torso, running slowly up his lean waist, finally stopping on his soft lips to stroke his bottom one. A moan rose in the back of my throat as my lips parted slightly. I never knew I knew how to moan, allowing him to slip his tongue in, exploring the inside of my mouth eagerly.
My body shuddered as he moaned softly between our kisses, causing the heat to rise in my body. I felt my knees weaken. He pressed his body as he deepened his kiss, grabbing onto my hair more and pulling me forward to deepen the kiss.
I wanted to pull away, but my body wouldn't let me. I could swiftly immobilize him, but my body wouldn't cooperate. Everything that was happening would surely end badly!
"Oh sh*t! I have to record this!"
Just as I was about to surrender to my female weakness, Cavin's voice broke the spell Nick had cast upon me. I looked up and saw Cavin staring at us as a smirk appeared on his face. "This will make your father go wild!"
As my thoughts snapped back to reality, I pushed Nick away, unintentionally knocking his senses out.
"Oh, so guilty, Princess?"
"SHUT UP! No one knows about this! I had to do it; he was suffering mild hypothermia after falling in the waterfall and getting lost in the forest with his wet clothes on!"
"As you said, princess!" Cavin mocked me, and I snorted back, gesturing for him to carry Nick.
