Yu Qingyu's heart almost stopped from fright as Pi Enshu lounged at him with the knife again, but he somehow managed to retain control of his body, even if just barely. He didn't fight back, but instead, he turned around on his heel, and sprinted forward. He ran as fast as he could, even though his lungs felt as if they were on fire. He didn't even look back, afraid he might trip or slip on the blood. But, as there were no more screams for help coming from behind him, it seemed that Pi Enshu followed him, just as he wanted.
It was still too early to feel relieved yet, though. Just as he reached the narrow, spiral steps leading to the attic, he felt sharp, immense pain in his back, followed by warmth and wetness, spreading down his body, as blood was flowing abundantly… His blood.
Pi Enshu caught up to him, and attacked.
