The tree house they were asked to enter was made out of one big room, with a small separated space that served as a toilet. The only furniture there was eight beds, made of thick cloths stretched on simple wooden frames. The large windows were blocked by a spell, a sort of pale blue, milky membrane, which let the light inside, but stopped anyone from looking outside, or from trying to escape. The same spell was also placed on the door, and as soon as Yu Qingyu passed through it, he was no longer able to get out.
The tree house, although clean and warm, felt very much like a prison.
