When Yu Qingyu opened up his eyes, for a moment, he didn't know where he was. He was lying curled up on the bed, tucked under the blankets with utmost care. On the floor next to him sat Liu Wei, resting against the edge of the bed with his eyes closed.
As his sight fell on the man, the events from last night flashed through his mind. He immediately sat up, covering his mouth with his hand, overcome by an intense urge to vomit. But, as his stomach was completely empty, nothing came out.
The movement snapped Liu Wei out of his daze. The man spent hours by Yu Qingyu's bed, and eventually, around noon, he started dozing off, falling into shallow sleep, but still constantly waking up at the faintest sound.
He now observed Yu Qingyu, who was staring straight ahead with unseeing, terrified eyes, his whole body shaking, in silence. He thought about it the whole night, and he still didn't know what to make of the situation.
