Darkness. That's all Arata could see. "W-Where am I?" Arata said. He looked down to see himself floating, "Hello?" He exclaimed. There was no echo, no light, nothing. But there was one thing. Arata turned around to see Kazuki. His eyes widened, "Bana!" He screamed as he ran towards her. He held his hand out, "Bana!" Even though he was running straight towards her, it seemed like she was getting further and further away.
Suddenly, Arata's eyes opened, "Bana!" He said while getting up. He looked around. He was in his room. "It was just a dream…" He thought. "Ya finally awake?" Ryosuke asked while eating an apple and reading a book about how to dismember a body. "Yeah." Arata said in a surprised tone. "Well?" Ryosuke asks while leaning in the chair, "I'm sure you're confused."
"Yeah. I am." Arata said in a surprised tone again. "Well then, ask away!" Ryosuke exclaimed as he put the chairs on all fours.
Silence. Arata didn't say a single word. "Hmm…" Ryosuke said as he put his head to the side, "Dude, you're not saying anything." This time, there was even more silence. Ryosuke sighed as he got up, "Well, I'm gonna get another apple. I'll be back in a bit. Okay?" "Yeah." Arata said in a surprised tone yet again.
Ryosuke walked out of the room and closed the door. Arata looked around the room and tried to get up. But as soon as he turned his torso, he coughed. "I must've cracked a rib…" He mumbled. Arata's eyes widened as what happened last night finally reached his mind. "Bana…" He mumbled. He looked up as Tinka came out of the closet. Arata's eyes began to water, and his mouth started to flinch. He quickly looked down as he started to break down. He cried figuratively and literally. Tears ran down his face as he grabbed the blanket.
"I'm back-" Ryosuke said while walking in the room, "Is this a bad time?"
"No… It's just… Bana's dead." Arata answered as he wiped his tears away.
"Yeah? Who said that?" He said while munching on the apple.
"What do you mean?"
"She only disappeared. So we don't know if she's dead or not."
"What happened to her father?"
"He fell in the hole. I think Yuta said it was called the mystical feetless hole or something. Idk."
Arata looked down at his lap, "Ryosuke?"
"Yeah?"
"What do you think will happen to us now?"
"What do you mean?"
"Now that Bana's gone, what do we do?"
"Bro, you only knew her for a week and a half…"
"I know, but… I don't know what to do…"
"Just focus on life, bro. That's all I can tell you."
"Thanks, Ryosuke, but what do we do about Tinka?"
"That's on you."
Later that night, Yuta asked to meet up with one of the butlers. "What is it you need, Master Yuta?" The Butler asked Yuta. The Butler was only fifteen years old and was very shy. "Jared, put this in tomorrow night's specialized dinner for my brothers." Yuta said while handing Jared a bag. Jared looked in the bag and nearly puked. "Sir, I don't think Mr. Zeldikok would approve…" "If you get caught, I'll take the consequences." "Yes sir…" Jared sighed.
The next day had arrived. And Yuta was in the dining room drinking some water when all of a sudden, "Yuta!" Hana exclaimed as she burst open the door, "We're having a family meeting now!" "But I just woke u-" Yuta said as he was dragged into Hana's art room.
"Alright, everyone here!" Hana exclaimed. "Yeah… Anyway, what is this gonna be about? Cause I need to finish my shit." Ryosuke asked. Hana walked in the front of the room, "I'll get into that, don't worry!" In an instant, Hana's tone became more serious,
"I applied y'all into the Fischl magic school." She said.
Silence.
They all just looked at her; they looked at her with a brain-dead expression. "Huh!?" Ryosuke exclaimed with an ugly face, "Isn't that like illegal or something!?" Yuta raised his hand, "May I ask something?" He said.
"Yes, you may ask!" Hana exclaimed, changing her tone.
"Did you already send in the papers?"
"Yep, I did!"
"Did they accept them?"
"Yep, they did!"
Yuta let out a painful sigh, "I was going to go to the capital, but I suppose this isn't too bad…"
"But Hana," Arata said, "We won't see you there. So what's the point? You're going there next week, right?"
"Yep!"
"Then that means the year that we go would be the year after you graduate since we can't go there until we're fifteen."
"Oh… I didn't think about that!" Hana exclaimed while rubbing the back of her head.
"But it is good that we go to the same school you're going to! Maybe we can see some of your art!" Arata implied.
Hana stared at Arata as tears started flowing out of her eyes, "Twank tuwo Awata!" She said as she blew her nose on his shirt.
"She's pressing on my rib…" Arata thought, trying not to show any sign of pain.
"Dinner will be ready soon, young masters." A butler said as he walked into the room. Hana finished wiping her nose on Arata's shirt and left the room, "Let's eat!" She exclaimed. "Hana's as enthusiastic as ever." Arata chuckled. Arata and Ryosuke left the room as Yuta watched them. "I'm sorry, my brothers. But this is for your safety. I can't risk it all for nothing." And Yuta was right.
And so they ate. Yuta watched Ryosuke and Arata as they ate. "Hm?" Arata said while looking down. "So it's already doing its thing, huh?" Yuta thought as he watched. Yuta watched Ryosuke and Arata eat until they finished their plates. After that, Yuta went over to his room. "Hey." Ryosuke said while tailing Yuta, "You put something in the food, right?" Yuta sighed, "What makes you think that?" "I know human flesh when I taste it." Ryosuke replied sharply. "So?" Yuta said as he started to walk away. "What are you planning, Yuta?" Ryosuke said seriously. "You shouldn't worry about that right now. Trust me." Yuta says as he walks away.
