MIKAEL'S POV
"Beach really is the perfect place to do vacation." Rez exclaimed while unloading his baggage.
"Thought you won't be alone for this trip. Where's the partner?" Noah teasingly asked him
"I can't let you be alone bruh. You're my partner for this trip, remember?" the Rez annoyingly hugged him and the whole gang laughed at their silliness
"Dude, get away from me." Noah yelped but Rez continued to teas him until we reached our rooms. Noah and I will share the room, Rez, Edwin, and Marcus will share the room. For the girls, they asked for a family room so the 4 of them will stay together.
This might be well for me and Abby since we haven't spend much together. Should I propose to her on this trip? Or should I figure out my dream first? I feel like cheating on her and I have to do surgery as soon as possible.
While Noah and I are still checking our things, the three boys came into the room. They were all reeking with perfume and confidently entering our room dancing like fools. Can I last the trip with these boys? They're draining my energy already.
"Why are you two still not changing? We'll only be here for like two days. C'mon!" Rez exclaimed while putting his arms around Noah.
"Yes Kuya. You have to enjoy this trip." Marcus agreed
"How can we prepare when you guys came barging into our room." Noah said
"We thought you guys are ready to conquer the day." Edwin said excitedly posing like superman.
"We'll be there in a jiffy." I said then they turn and left the room. I hope we can really enjoy this trip with all the stress we've been through.
"Are you planning on proposing?" Noah asked while changing
"I don't know. I'm torn between proposing or to figure out the dream first." I said as I change as well
"Haven't you figure it out yet?" Noah asked again now looking for glasses that suits his outfit. I took mine and throw it to him since it suits him and his outfit for today then he thanked me and try it out on the mirror.
"I'm still on it. The thing is, the only thing I know about her is, she's a teacher. I don't know where or what grade level she's teaching." I said while trying his new pair of sunglasses
"That's a broad information but you're off a good start. You might start to remember everything from that." he said while we exit the room
"I hope so." then I sighed at the sight of my situation. We walked to the beach where everyone is while they are happily soaking themselves on the water.
We get closer to them when Tanya and Abby walked towards us and I saw them on their two piece. I can sense the beach boys' eyes are onto them and some are even whistling, that made me uncomfortable. I bit my lips and Noah tapped me on my back. He knows when I am uncomfortable and annoyed.
"Why don't you guys changed or put on some shorts and tee." Noah said to both of them and they looked at me. They understand it right away and went back from their room to change. After a while, they came back wearing short and tee.
"Better." I said and smiled.
Noah and I refrained ourselves from going into the water and just watched them from the hut. We grilled some meat and prepared the food for everyone. Afterwards, Abby came in the hut soaking wet so I handed her the towel and she wrap it around her. He came close to me while grilling the rest of the meet.
"Ohh, so you guys are the chef today. What are we eating today?" she asked looking at me with her loving eyes.
"Guys, may it be known to you my presence." Noah teasingly said the we both grin.
"Acknowledge." Abby replied
"Just some Korean BBQ. Sit and have some." I said inviting her to eat but she wrapped her arms around my waist so I turned to her and kissed her forehead.
"What a PDA!" Noah exclaimed and we both laughed
"The water's cool. Don't you want to dive in?" she asked while leaning on me.s
"I'm good. Enjoy yourself." I answered and smiled at her. She took chopsticks and took a bite from the meat I'm grilling then feed me.
"You're getting good at grilling honey." she said in compliment.
"Thanks. How are you guys doing there?" I asked her about their dive
"Everyone's enjoying hon so you guys should join us before the jellyfish subdued the shore." she said while eating her meat. I turned to her in confusion about the jellyfish.
"What do you mean?" I probed
"Didn't you heard the announcement? Maybe an hour they will shut the shore because of the jellyfish." she answered
"Aren't they poisonous?" Noah asked while I put the meat in the plate.
"I don't think so. We're even playing with it." she replied while putting the lettuce and meat in her mouth. But right after she said it, we saw the lifeguards and the people running. We were so confused but we remain in the hut while people are busy recording on their phone.
Afterwards, Marcus is running towards us. Just when I saw Tanya being carried by the lifeguards on the way to the ambulance. So I rushed to meet Marcus.
"Tanya has been bitten by a jellyfish. She stepped on it and it bit her." Marcus explains panting. Noah came in with water and gave it to Marcus while Abby is tapping his back.
"Is it Tanya only?" I asked
"Yes kuya. Sorry we didn't know." Marcus said so I tapped his shoulder to assure him it's not his fault
"It's fine. Noah please check on everyone. I'll go to Tanya." I said then I rushed to our room to get my keys and followed Tanya in the hospital. It was a 10 minute drive away from the beach and I found my little sister tending by a nurse. My heart is pounding so fast that I can't breathe. I am having a panick attack. Why at this moment of all time?!
I walked outside almost losing my balance when Edwin catched me before I fall to the ground. This started when my dad died before even reaching the hospital. It was a painful memory.
"Why did you come? Didn't Marcus told you that Rez and I went in with Tanya? You know you can't stand hospitals" Edwin said in concern and a bit of anger
"It slipped from my mind." I said trying to calm myself. Edwin held me tightly while entering the hospital and looking for an empty for me to sit on.
"You can't even received any drugs here without your personal doctor's knowledge. So try to calm yourself, I'll talk to a doctor." he said and left me with a nurse. I came here for Tanya and now I might become a patient.
Because of my heart's hard pounding, I can feel chest pains. If this doesn't stop, I might passed out and everyone would know about my heart's condition. I tried my best to calm myself while enduring the chest pain.
Edwin came in with a doctor and checked my heart. Fortunately, my heart is trying to calm down but the chest pain is still there. He checked the rhythm of my heart and looked at me. Before he can say anything I signed to him to keep quiet.
"I have a heart condition so that's the reason why there's irregularities on the rhythm but I assure you I'm okay." I said then Edwin raised his eyebrows
"Please doctor run for him tests just to make sure he's okay." he said facing the doctor and blocking my view
"Ed, you know I can only do it at my doctors hospital. I'm good, I'll get checked when we go back." I said trying to calm him down and to assure him I'm fine. If not, he might sing it to the group and ruin the trip.
"If you're worrying about this trip then you shouldn't be, health is the priority." Edwin said still wanting to run me tests.
"Ed I'm good. Please doctor tend to your other patients. Sorry for holding you." I politely said to the doctor while Ed tried to stop him but I pulled him over.
"Ed please, I want to see my sister." I said but he's tossing and turning worried about me. "Please Ed just lead the way. The gang might be worried if we stay here for too long." I calmly said to convince him then he lead the way to Tanya. She's red all over and her eyes were puffed.
Rez was shocked when he saw and I tilt my head that he might not make a big deal out of it. I walked to Tanya and held her hand, she's hot.
"Were you getting checked up?" he asked
"Nope. I came for my sister." I replied
"Didn't Marcus..." I cut him by asking how is Tanya. "She's good bruh. She got her shot and we'll wait for 4 hours before taking her." Rez explains
"That's good to hear. Thank you for looking after her." I said genuinely
"She's a sister to us too. We got you always bruh." Edwin replied
"You should go and tell the other about Tanya. We'll follow afterwards." I said confidently but actually, my chest still hurts.
"I can go but Rez will stay here with you. No buts for the two of you. Just look after Tanya and I'll tell the group that she's now okay." Edwin said then left the room.
