Imagine you are standing on the brink of death. What emotions would arise within you? Would it be joy or sorrow?
The thought of death didn't fill me with fear. You might be wondering what my last moments were like. Well, it was on an evening as I was out shopping to pick up something to drink. However, suddenly, a man appeared, masked and armed, targeting the small grocery store where I often shopped.
The masked man forced me into a corner with my hands raised, and the store clerk was threatened as well. I followed his instructions, yet he still fired at me – a shot, quickly hitting right in the center of my heart. I fell to the ground, wounded, without hope, lost.
As I lay on the ground, the masked assailant fled with the stolen money. The clerk rushed to the phone to immediately call for an ambulance and the police. My injury was severe, so severe that I lost consciousness and my vision became blurred.
