The transaction had come to an end at this point.
Yet, Bairon showed no intention of leaving.
"Do you need anything else, sir?" Thompson asked.
With a hint of a smile, Bairon said, "Are you interested in making a trade? I have another piece of information, worth 3000 gold coins."
"You should tell me everything now that you've taken my scroll!" Thompson became furious.
Shaking his head, Bairon replied, "While this matter is connected to Stephen, it did not take place on the White Gull, hence it cannot be considered as part of the previous transaction."
Thompson's face changed from cloudy to clear, showing hesitation for a few seconds before he finally spoke, "You tell me first. If it indeed is worth 3000 gold coins, I will pay that amount in gold coins."
Responding, Bairon said, "After the White Gull arrived in Rustburg, Rustwater Count executed Frank and his sailors, but Stephen managed to escape."
