Chapter 5 - She Actually Destroyed A Garden!

Nicholas restrained the urge to flip the table and called his driver.

On the other side, the middle-aged driver who had just gotten off work, felt his phone ringing. His entire body stiffened as he stood in the parking lot. He had just sent Mrs. Harrison to the doors of the main villa and sneaked away before anyone could see him.

Of course, he knew he couldn't stop others from punishing him for defying the orders, but he still wanted to sleep a peaceful night after a day of havoc. But his thoughts all flushed down the drain when he finally saw his boss's name on the screen.

His hands trembled so much that his phone nearly fell to the ground. He took a deep breath, gripping the phone as he finally managed to pick up the call.

In a timid voice laced with utter fear, he asked, "Boss… What happened?"

What a crazy question! Of course, the boss called because of the credit card bills! His entire back was filled with layers of cold sweat as he took a deep breath and said before his boss could even open his mouth, "Mrs. Harrison is crazy!"

This was the second time he was hearing those words. His brows rose as he asked, "What did she do?"

And then, the driver, being loyal to his boss, recounted everything from start to finish. The more Nicholas heard, the angrier he became. In the end, his hand holding the phone tightened around it so firmly that a crisp cracking voice vibrated in his ears.

Then… he let out a burst of cold laughter laced with traces of anger.

"Very good." He paused and took a deep breath, saying, "Adam, now you will work for her for your entire life."

What he meant was that Adam was fired from being his bodyguard if he couldn't even handle a simple lady.

Adam's eyes widened. He knew what those words meant. He wanted to refuse, but he also knew his boss was ruthless. So he shut his mouth and accepted his fate, saying, "En… boss, you're so merciful."

At least, he wasn't killed on the spot seeing how angry his boss was!

Before he could say another word, he heard a beep sound coming from the other side. Speechlessly, he put down his phone and sighed.

Nicholas packed his bag. His face remained icier than ever, so much so that upon seeing his cold face, no one even dared to get close to him as he walked down the corridor. He went to his private elevator and entered, pressing the underground level button.

Since Abigail dared to enter his place, he would definitely see how crazy she actually is! Let's see if she can save herself after sending her own body to the lion's den!

On the other hand, Abigail successfully dragged a bunch of shopping bags and rang the bell as she stood there like an obedient puppet. She replayed a few words in her mind.

'Abigail, no getting angry.'

'Absolutely no mood swings.'

'And definitely not showing your true colors!'

'Focus on saving your husband first!'

After taking a few deep breaths and trying her best to hypnotize herself, she plastered a smile on her face when the door opened. The butler was stunned to see her.

A few moments ago, he had just received a call from the eldest young master that Mrs. Harrison would arrive at their door, and the butler had been warned to kick her out no matter how much she begged.

The butler looked outside.

It was late at night. He wondered where this lady would go after being kicked out. But…

He sighed and asked, "You are?"

The butler first would have to make sure she was Mrs. Harrison before acting. He couldn't just kick out a guest, could he?

The lady smiled and said, "Mrs. Harrison."

Okay, so it's confirmed.

The butler shook his head and said, "Then, you're not welcomed."

After saying that, he shut the door in her face without even giving her a chance to say another word.

Abigail, who was standing there with so many shopping bags in her hands, felt the corner of her mouth twitching. Her mood instantly turned bitter, but thinking of how she wanted to save Nicholas, she forced herself desperately to calm down against her wishes.

Because of her forceful attitude, she unconsciously started tapping her foot on the ground as if she were extremely irritated and impatient. She took a deep breath as she spoke through her gritted teeth, "Open the door when I'm talking nicely."

The butler heard those words and sighed, leaving the front door instantly.

Now, Abigail's face turned colder than ever. She threw the bags on the porch and said loudly, "Then I'm not responsible for what's going to happen to your little, beautiful garden!"

Her anger reached its peak, even overshadowing her reasoned and logical thoughts.

She stomped toward the garden with an angry expression on her face.

Later…

The butler was doing some work in the kitchen when he heard some faint sounds of something crashing against the ground. He instantly walked over to the window and opened it, only to be shocked by seeing the situation outside.

All the flower vases on the roadside placed before for decoration were a mess, shattered into multiple pieces. The pathway made out of stones and gravel was hit in several places with a hammer. Even the fountain broke with water leaking out from several pores made out of hammer.

God knows how Abigail managed to find a hammer in the first place.

She didn't even leave a single sculpture standing tall and broke down all of them, shattering them to pieces that scattered over the road. All the lights placed to decorate the garden were broken, and some of them even leaked sparks of electricity.

The worst was the garden furniture. She broke every single one of them and even stomped on the broken pieces of wood to make sure it broke once and for all. Even after doing all of that mess, she didn't feel a single trace of exhaustion in her body as she stomped toward the climbing trees meant for decoration at the entrance and pulled them down, tearing the branches and leaves apart.

The butler watched the scene with a horrified expression on his face. He only had one thought in his head:

'Mrs. Harrison would surely die tonight. Young master wouldn't let her off easy.'
