Rain's pov
What happened to her today? Usually our morning starts with a small good morning and nothing else....
It was not like that before my daughter.... When she was young... She used to greet me like this.... Like today...
But after sometime especially when she started her training as the successor.... She grew colder and colder... Honestly I missed her greetings....
Today I was surprised to see the same way.... I felt like I was on cloud nine... Until I saw her teared up like that.... Which bastard made my daughter cry....
And after hours of crying now she is sleeping peacefully in arms like she used to do.... After so many years....
As I tried to tug her in bed, she clung on to my coat....
I startled as I heard the door opening revealing her....
Avery, my wife... The Grand Duchess...
with whom I am having a bit of.... misunderstanding....
And yes I am at the fault...
But that bastard womanizer who has his eyes on her is the real culprit...
He even sent his daughter here to distance Rose and Avery....
Avery is always someone who enjoys to be in her feminine energy....
She enjoys embroidery... Tea parties....
managing the household... Whereas Rose is completely opposite of her... Like me... She would rather go for horse riding, hunting, practicing sword fighting.... She even thought to marry a commoner boy who can take care of all of these and she would do the works out of the home... The works I would...
It's not like that Avery and I... We don't want her to do as she wishes but at one point Avery always wanted a daughter so that she could doll her up... Have little tea parties at home... Teach her those special skills of embroidery she learnt...
But being the only child... It seemed like she chose the succeeding... It wasn't a problem a till now because even though Rose was never interested in this things... She would still sit by her mother's side and intently look what she did....
Until the womanizer sent his sin here letting Rose feel all left out and eventually she stopped accompanying her mother... Afterall that sin of his was the total ladylike this sick society of aristocracy preferred....
That rascal even plotted by sending a woman who acted all drunk and threw herself on me in that banquet... As I tried to push her away Avery came and saw that woman hugging me.... I tried to explain to her but she refused to listen and just maintained a simple way of our daily which mostly involved works.... If I had pushed away that woman a little earlier this wouldn't have happened...
Before all that after the completing all the works for the day we used to sit together by the balcony with a bottle of red wine sometimes... And spent hours talking to eachother about what happened all day.... But now all these seems to be long forgotten past... No... A dream that never came true... Never....
