After me and Kira got our things from the dormitory we started to head out of the city, but when we arrived at the gate some soldiers from the guardian squad stopped us "Stop. You have to wait, all the captains want to talk to you." I already had an idea of what they wanted to talk about, so we waited for them to arrive.
SOME MINUTES LATER
A light appeared in front of us we covered our eyes for some seconds then we opened them again and in front of us there were the 4 captains (Teleportation magic I didn't think Jang could pull it off) I thought seeing them appear out of the blue, then they expect jang apologized to us for interrupting our journey. The first to talk was Rodrigo, "We are sorry for stopping you like this but we want to know why you didn't choose a squad like the others." I knew it they wanted to know why we refused to enter one of their squad, "Well for me, it's because I prefer to work on my own I don't like taking orders from other people, and to be honest I never liked the image of the hero." When I said that all the captains were surprised "Why you don't like the heroes?" asked Rino very confused "Everybody dreamed of being a hero in their life, at the list once" continued him, "Well that's not my case, when I first heard of them when I was a kid I thought that they were idiot." I said "Like saving the princess from a monster with no reward for it, just because of some sense of morality, I call it bullshit", all the captains were shocked "I am not offending any of you if you think what you're doing is right than do it, I don't care I just know that the hero things is not for me" I explained to them trying to not make some unwanted enemies, Then Jasmine asked "Then, what are you going to do now?" I answered her "I will become a mercenary, They can do the same quest as the typical hero but they get paid for it, Why would I risk my life for someone I don't know for free, like this isn't my world, they are not my problem, so if I have to meddle in it at the least I want to get paid for it." They relaxed a bit after my answer but at the same time seemed sad about it "Well, you are right this is not your world and this is not your problem, but this vision you have is a bit sad" said Jasmine "But we will respect it" she continued then she asked Kira why she didn't choose a squad, I was curious too so I turned to her and with a smile without hesitation she said "Because I want to stay with the person I love" eh what maybe I heard it wrong "Can you please repeat it, I think we heard wrong" said Rodrigo "No you heard right, I said that I want to stay with the person I love." OK, I didn't hear it wrong, so...WTF...
"T-t-then, if that is the case we won't interfere with it," said a very surprised Jasmine but I couldn't blame her I was surprised too, but leaving that aside since Jang is here I need to ask him some questions. "Oi supreme sorcerer, do you have something against us?" When I asked that question everyone turned to him, even with the hood on you could see he had a snout on his face, then he said "Isn't oblivious, Aria made a mistake when she thought that we needed the help of some brats from a different world" I imagined during the awakening ceremony he wasn't paying that much attention he only did it when was mine and my sister turn and there was another fact made me think he didn't like us "Is that the reason that you refused everyone who asked to join on your squad?"

One of my classmates awakened as an elemental mage 4⭐ rare class and when he was asked which squad wanted to join he said "I want to join the Pillar of the Nord" but then Jang said "I refuse. And before anyone else says something I won't admit anyone on my squad, because none of you got my interest so don't even try." When he said that all the presents were shocked, Aria tried to change his mind but it didn't work. So in the end none joined Jang squad

Now everyone was paying more attention to what he was going to say "Yes that's right, I find you all disgusting I believe in the purity of mana and that only the human race deserves to use it." Everyone started to feel disgusted by what he was implying, "Like that sister of yours she is an idiot for obtaining the double core, The mana core doesn't need to be mixed with something so inferior like the aura" At this statement I was getting furious, and I just wanted to smack his head hard "OHI, Bastard magician don't you dare to talk like that of my sister, you will regret it." I threatened him with my mana covering my body. Then he said, "Shut up you are more disgusting than your sister, I could sense you had potential but then you chose a dark class you ruined the purity in your mana by choosing such a class, if it was for me all dark classes users both of mana and aura should be killed." Now everyone was enraged by what he said but all of us tried to remain calm Then Jasmine said "Let's all calm down this is not the reason why we are here, I am sorry for what he said Now you can go sorry for interrupting your journey, while you Jang pay attention to what you say, one of this day you will get killed for it" then the captain started to disappear, me and Kira resumed our travel and now we are out of the city. Now, it is time to hunt.
